Amana bottom-freezer refrigerators are the best!

We bought this refrigerator several months ago and we are so pleased with it. It replaced an old Amana refrigerator that had finally given out after over a decade of use.
We have always had bottom-freezer refrigerators as we find them so roomy and we appreciate not digging around in the bottom half looking for the milk, eggs, etc.

Large capacity

I had to replace my old refrigerator and decided on a bottom freezer unit. It's OK, but the seal is so tight that sometimes I have a hard time opening the refrigerator door, especially if I have just closed the freezer door. Also the freezer bins are open mesh and while that allows the cold air to flow, when the ice cubes overflow the bin, I can't reach them to get them out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love our amana. Purchased for our cabin in northern wi. It was moderately priced and very economical. If I cld change a feature, I would make divider in freezer easier to move. I wld purchase it again!

We had a Amana bottom freezer which lasted many years and was very happy to be able to buy another Amana bottom freezer. We are very happy with our purchase.
We bought Black and am very happy that it has a smooth finish. Easy to keep clean.
Inside is roomy for all our needs. Its a well made product.

The perfect refrigerator for our needs

We've had our Amana refrigerator for a couple of months now and it has performed perfectly. Especially like the separate controls for fridge/freezer and lighted freezer compartment. Very quiet, lots of room in fridge with excellent shelf choices. Freezer has plenty of room and sliding upper tray provides easy access to food. I couldn't be happier with it all around
