I like this for the lower level of protection than the bigger model and it fits in my pocket better. However, it also fails ever 3-6 months like clock work. The hard plastic on the bottom fails in the same spot. I have been getting a new one each time but it is a hassle. I talked to others who like it but won't buy it because of this issue.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: fails every 6 months

I have had a couple of these now. I find they do protect the phone but the outer case has broken at thinner areas for example where the charge/sync cable attaches.
Otterbox customer service is exceptional however, always sending out a new case, no questions asked. Its for this reason that I have stayed with Otterbox.
My wife's has now broken also so I'll be in touch! :)

My Otterbox case has easily been the wisest purchase ever. There is no doubt in my mind that I would not have an IPhone any longer had it not been for my Otterbox case! I have dropped my phone too many times to count (even put it in a small amount of water!) and every time the Otterbox case saved the day. When the case did break the folks at Otterbox were beyond polite, kind and so, so easy to deal with. The replacement process was simple and the replacement came promptly, which is very important to me. When using the case the phones functionality isn't compromised like other cases. Simply put: I would (and have) recommend Otterbox to anyone with full confidence Otterbox is THE BEST!!!!

If you're someone who drops their phone alot then the Commuter Case is for you. It's very strong and will protect your phone from the dropsies. BUT, if you're someone who likes to plug their phone into a base station and/or you need to remove the case on a regular basis I wouldn't recommend this product. The inter flexible rubber is fine but the outter hard plastic part of the case is too brittle and doesn't stand up to the wear and tear. Like the case and the warranty program is steller but the durability leaves a lot to be desired.
Pros: warranty program, good looks
Cons: Not durable

Loved this case and needed a replacement as mine cracked and was sent a replacement very quickly and completely free to me. Excellent product and would definitely recommend. Well worth spending a little more for the case compared to some cheaper options I had researched.

I have five iphones in my family; children and grandchildren included. They are all on my plan and I will not let them have their iphones without the protection of the Otter Boxes.
My sister, who I bought one for, was in a horrible auto accident where her car was totaled but her iphone survived with the otter box. What better validation to use the otter box. Thank you !
