The Commuter Otterbox has been a saving grace for the times I have dropped my iPhone on less than soft surfaces. My only complaint is with the white rubber part of the casing as it seems to get dirty and stained quite easily, by blue jeans or fabric coverings for purses or bags.
This is my only complaint, and it is simply aesthetic.

good case with a few issues

I love the protection the Commuter case has to offer, without being as bulky as the Defender. The case fits snugly, but I wouldn't recommend trying to take it off once you put it on. Unfortunately, after 6 months of use, the plastic outer case started to snag at the bottom corner, eventually breaking, which rendered the outer case useless. In addition, the rubber inner case eventually stretch so that it no longer fit snugly.
I got a second Commuter case because I still felt like it offered the best protection, second to the bulky Defender, and the second case lasted much longer. I had difficulty opening the headphone jack flap, though, and the rubber frequently folded under itself at the top. Overall, it was a good case with strong protection and good design and quality that I would recommend. (Also, I loved my teal color!)
