This was a replacement as the first one got a crack in it, however the white part will not stay white silicone part no matter how well you take care of it. It looks horrible after a few days.

Screen Protector Defective, Poor construction

Have had two cases replaced, and screen protectors have either had stickers permanently stuck to protector or creased and not fit correctly (creased, etc.). Case has cracked both times on bottom hard plastic piece. Current cover color pink has bled over onto white, and case does not fit phone correctly (blues on one side). Would not buy this case again. Nice that they replace, but doesn't help if case is continually defective.

Cons: Low quality, Not durable, screen protector defective

The best part of the commuter case is that it has afforded a couple of years of protection without sacrificing functionality and compactness.
The drawbacks have been durability -- the synthetic frame near the charge port is the first to fracture and then break off. Once a break starts, other plastic pieces will follow as they snag on clothing and objects. I've dropped this from five feet and not had an issue with protection. It doesn't protect from dust much nor water, but shock protection is good enough.
Pros: compactness, shock protection
Cons: Not durable

I chose to purchase an OtterBox case because I drop my iPhone quite often (almost once per day). I have had my phone and case for almost two years now, and there are no scratches or cracks on my phone. The plastic part on the case cracked after about a year of use (aka a year of daily drops on concrete, hard floors, etc.) and OtterBox sent me a free replacement part. I could not be happier with OtterBox and will buy my next case from them as well!!

In August of 2013 I moved into the "cell phone" era and purchased an IPhone4 - I was encouraged to purchase an Otter Box to protect my phone and I am so glad that I did. After dropping my phone several times ( I'm better at holding it now ) I realized that without the Otter Box my phone would probably have been damaged beyond repair. Thank you Otter Box for protecting my investment.
