As noted in other reviews, I think this design has a weak point in the hard case between the one button and the flap that covers the charging connection. This snapped for me after only a couple weeks of using the case. Requesting and receiving a replacement was very quick and easy, so I would still recommend this case. It's much smaller than some of the other designs, but it still seems to offer great protection for the device inside.

I guess I expected more from the name Otter Box, but I should have probably purchased a Defender Series case instead of the Commuter Series. This case broke within 5 days of purchasing it, and thankfully was replaced under warranty. It sits in my husband's pants pocket for most of the day so I'm not sure exactly what happened (was not dropped or abused in any way). The replacement case is fine, but I don't think it would protect much against dropping or hard use. Next time I will spend the additional money and buy the Defender series.
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really like my Otterbox. My only issue is that the plastic piece of the case cracks after the case is removed from the phone several times. However, Otterbox replaced my case FREE each time. So overall, money well spent.
In terms of protection, it's just what I need for the frequent drops.
