Looks Great! Harder to operate

I bought this to match all the other GE Cafe appliances I purchased for my new house. Microwave looks good. Works good. The only thing con is that you have to push a lot of buttons just to get cooking! I wish this was more streamlined.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Brand New & Has Many Problems

Would never buy GE Cafe again. Tarnish inside no way to clean without possibly scratching the finish. So have to leave it like that. Terrible not to have a keypad. Install of the trim kit too difficult. Had to buy another microwave to supplement all the things this one does not do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super nice features!

My husband gave me the GE Cafe Series Convection Microwave for Christmas and I love it! In addition to the usual microwave cooking, the convection option is a nice addition. I have baked using this option instead of heating up my regular oven. It is a nice option, too, when I am baking several things at one time and need an extra oven. The digital screen is also nice because it gives very clear instructions for different cooking methods. You don't need to refer back to the manual to see how to defrost meat or preheat to use the convection oven option. I never used a regular microwave as much as I have this one. The husband did a great job picking this one out!

Had this less than a year and the microwave doesn’t work I bought another microwave from a yard sell sat on kitchen counter and to this day is still working, no I would not recommend this microwave oven right now

Waste of money

Comes ON when door is OPEN.
Powers OFF when door closed.
Convection doesn’t work.
Extremely noisy with defrost.
Repair cost about cost of a new one.
Would like to replace with another brand but have all other appliances in cafe . Looks nice, but wouldn’t recommend. Used rarely (a few weeks per year) in 2nd home.

Loved the appliance for it's short-lived life. Having built a new home, designed my kitchen and invested around GE cafe package and the entire "brain" went out after 3 years.

I hate this Cafe microwave

Built into a brand new home 5 years ago. It has nonsense controls so you end up using the express setting most of the time. It has low power for heating items. the light went out after year 3 and you cant replace it. now the door latch sensor is malfunctioning and it will not run. already replaced Cafe Fridge and Cafe Dishwasher. time to move on.
