[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is not much to like about this unit, in my opinion. The fan is extraordinarily loud, even on the lowest setting. I also have to have the recirculate option due to the inability to vent the hood outside. This function is almost useless. In order to have it actually recirculate enough air to make a difference (and it still doesn't do enough to keep the air clear when frying food), you have to use the high setting and it's SO loud that you can't carry on a conversation when you are near it. And due to the placement of the hood, which is within the height requirements of the instruction manual, the exhaust blows either at the top of my head if I am looking down, or straight into my eyes if I look ahead. The installers chuckled at the fact that the hood ships without a light bulb ("the cheaper hoods include the bulb"). I installed a nice LED daylight bulb, which does give great light - the only thing I like about the hood. You will not, however be able to use the light for subtle night lighting, because it is either "ON" or "OFF" with no middle ground. Finally, the finish of the product is sub par. The box was pristine, but there is a little dent in the front of the hood. Furthermore, one of the side panels that extends beyond my cabinetry (by design) is "wobbly" in appearance and it's quite obvious when light shines on the hood. Overall, I regret this purchase.
