I like it a lot since I put it in a case with a larger key board. Over all performance is above average except if you use it as extensively as I do, you have to clean the files up what many would consider too often.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight

Unable to update latest firmware even with some attempts with samsung live chat which they end session if you don't type fast enough. Bought samsung products in past with good luck but tablets must not be there thing. Don't recommend purchasing one. I have only had this for a year and a half and have tried to do updates for past year with no luck.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: does not update

Best tablet on the market when I bought it and still holds up its value almost 3 years later. This tablet has out lasted 2 of my computers bought around the same time.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, specs where and still are better than ipad

It is a shame that we have to use v 4.2 when 4.5 is being rolled out.

Sloooow internet speed

My tablet is on a high speed connection >20 Mbps download. The tablet itself registers only about 4> Mbps download speed. A search of the internet found that others are having this problem. A search of the Samsung site found nothing to resolve the issue.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, max volumne is low
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife received this tablet from her mom, who got it for free in a promotion from her wireless provider. Overall it's a decent tablet but there are several areas where it lags behind. The 10.1" screen is very sharp and colorful. TouchWiz is a hit or miss, depending on personal preference. I like it ok. The camera takes adequate photos but there's no led flash. The main area where this tablet falls short is the processor. A year or so ago, it would have been the standard. But today, after being spoiled by the quad core processor in my Galaxy S5, the dual core in this tablet just feels painfully slow. It takes much longer than it should to open apps and this thing hates multitasking. There is a lot of stuttering and hesitation in almost all operations. We only use this tablet for playing games. For everything else we use our phones.
Pros: Inexpensive, good sound from stereo speakers
Cons: slow processor, too much lag
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 for about 8 months now and I totally love it, just what I was looking for and the features are great, easy to set up and does exactly what I want it to, I'm happy I decided to purchase it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
