Very quiet operation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heater has a modern look and is easy to operate. The wheels snap out for use and back underneath to store. The wheels and handle make the heater easy to move around a room without burning yourself when in the process of heating. The heater turns on with the push of a button, and the digital panel is easy to understand with on/off, temperature up and down, power setting, eco function, and timing buttons. I like that you can set a specific temperature rather than turning a knob to high or low. I also like the Eco function, which sets the best power level to match the selected heat and current room temperature. The timer is also handy to delay the start or stop. I like to use this to start at a higher temp and let the unit turn off once we are asleep and do not need as high of a temperature in the room. There is a knob to wrap the cord up, which is nice for storage, but I wish it was at the back of the heater rather than at the front. Upon first use, I thought the heater wasn't working because it was so quiet, but after about 10 minutes, I could feel the heat at the top and sides of the heater. Ideally, the heater would blow some heat from the top vents, along with the radiant heat, but that is not its purpose. Once it gets going, it does evenly warm my 12x12 room. I am eager to try the antifreeze setting, which is supposed to turn the heater on in cold weather to prevent pipe freezing, during the winter when I leave home for a few days. This heater will be a nice addition to heat my rooms that do not get as warm as others. I do wish it came with a remote control to adjust settings from across the room or from another area in the house. Overall, I am pleased with the look and function of the Radia Digital S Eco heater.

Quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DeLonghi radiant heater is easy to move around with its handle and wheels. The wheels fold up directly under the heater for storage, and they fold outward when in use. Note that it isn't very stable with the wheels folded under and you shouldn't try to use it that way. I like the digital display and being able to select a specific temperature setting. The control buttons are not touch buttons, so I do need to use one hand to steady the heater and the other to push the buttons, which keeps the settings from being accidentally changed. This is a radiant heater, so it does not blow heat. I prefer this type of heating because it doesn't blow around dry heat/air. It's also so quiet that I can use it in any room without causing disruption.

Quiet Warmth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about this heater! The DeLonghi Eco Digital Radiator runs so quietly that I forgot it was even on. I have a 10 x 20 sunroom that was kept warm even on the coldest night. I love being able to easily program the heater to be on for just a few hours or just to maintain the heat all day and night. The Eco setting is a great extra, I leave it in Eco mode myself so it uses less energy. The best part really is that it cost me less to use than the hydronic baseboard heating we had in the room the rest of our house is gas, using this heater versus the baseboard even using the heater more.

LOVE This Radiator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This radiator is a great addition to my media room. I can basically "set it and forget it" (Like the old Ronco appliances!). It's super quiet - makes no noise except a barely audible 'click' when it cycles on or off. It heats my whole media room - which isn't THAT big, but still. It's safe - tipping it over accidentally turns it off. And last, it's mobile, with wheels, so I can reposition it if needed. Works great for me!

Our radiator is only a little over one month old and it overheated last night and started to smell like smoke. Putting our hands over the metal, the unit was dangerously hot and we're certainly not comfortable using it again.

Excellent features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my new DeLonghi Radia S ECO Digital Full Room Radiant Heater! The features are great! I've never seen a radiant heater with a digital control panel and LED display before so really like the looks of that. The fold down wheels are great too, so you can easily move the heater from room to room if needed. The front has a place to keep your cord wrapped around while not in use which is perfect for keeping the cord out of the way. It warms up nicely and I'm glad I don't have to refill with oil ever! I do think it's better for smaller to medium areas to really feel the warmth. Very easy to use! It is very quiet, and the safety features make me feel better about using it in my home as well around children. Great little heater!

Makes Weird Noise

I bought it 2 years ago but the heater started making noise(tick tick tick tick ………..every 5 minutes that is very disturbing at night) even the same year. Not sure if it is a problem with the heater or it is how it is designed to work.
