This dishwasher is very good. The only concern is that you need to clean the dishes a little bit to have bether results.

Oh so quiet.

I have had 3 dishwashers in the last 12 years and I suppose they should get better as time goes on, but this seems to jump so far ahead of the others I'm shocked. It also seems that nobody makes anything well these days as well, so maybe I should be double shocked. This dishwasher is super quiet and the dishes come out so clean. I highly recommend this dishwasher.

Wonderful choice

Being a retired service technician, my wife knew she had to chose within the Whirlpool family of products when we chose to replace appliances that we purchased when we built our new home eleven years ago. This dishwasher fit nicely with the other appliances chosen for our kitchen. We liked the drawer layouts and the silverware dispenser located on the door instead of in the basket area. We appreciated the stainless steel liner and the water distribution within the wash area of the dishwasher. One thing I was initially troubled with was the moisture left on the back wall of the dishwasher once the cycle was completed. We are using the recommended detergent and rinse agent. In checking I discovered that this issue is probably associated with the lack of a circulating fan that use to be used in the drying cycle. This might be an issue for some and may trigger some service calls. We solved this issue by simply cracking the door open at the end of the cycle. Knowing that moisture on the bottom of counter tops, I am going to keep an eye for an issue caused from opening this door once the cycle is over. Otherwise, this is an excellent dishwasher and EXTREMELY quiet. I have to strain to hear it run. Would buy this model again even knowing that ventilation seems to be an issue solved by cracking the door open once the cycle ends. Dishes are always clean and dry, which is why we bought a dishwasher to start with.

Overall Good-needs tweaking to dry dishes vs Energy Saving
on February 5, 2016

We bought this 1 1/2 months ago. Happy to know it passed the Energy Saver rating. The controls are simple to use, and at the same time, there are various cycle combinations to choose from. However, in whatever combination we used, the dishes came out wet, and had to leave the door open for at least an hour to let the dishes dry. If dishes are washed at night, must leave the door open the whole night to have dishes dry completely (used Finish Jet-Dry rinse agent). This didn't improve much after 5 weeks of use. Technician said this was normal and should get better as a "film" on the metal sides of the interior is worn off. It was extra work and patience to wait for dishes to dry.Pros: Good price - got it on Boxing Day (Dec 26th); lots of room for even big plates and tall glasses though during the Christmas holidays, I needed more wine glass space with stem holders - could be a whole row.Best combination was Sensor + Heat dry + Hi-Temp Wash. If more soiled, Sensor + Heat Dry + TargetClean.Cons: Dishes are still wet. One-hour cycle doesn't clean plates, serving dishes well. OK for less dirty dishes.Manufacture design: needs tweaking to dry dishes and at the same time meet Energy Saver rating.

Cleans Great!

We replaced a broken 6 year old Kitchen Aid with a Whirlpool. They are both made by the same manufacturer along with Maytag, but they all have different features. The Whirlpool cleans great and dries all but places where water can get trapped on plastic items. Silverware in door frees up space for dishes.

Cleans well, but a little noisy

This dishwasher came with a house purchase. It is much better than the model at our old house. It cleans dishes really well, but the standard cycle takes 3 hours. It is also a little on the noisy side for an open floor plan like ours.
