It is great. Works like a charm, and is so quiet I can hardly tell it is running. Also being all Stainless Steel inside keeps it looking great. I love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this unit myself in roughly 1 1/2 hrs. When we ran the first load we were amazed at how quiet it was, especially at the very affordable price we paid.

Nice and quiet

I had to mute the tv to hear if the dishwasher was still running (only about 20 feet away). Simple to operate, quiet, and cleans well.

Very clean dishes

We have been happy with our choice of dishwasher. The dishes are perfectly clean, even after sitting in the sink for a few days. All food particles and even caked on food is gone after the dishwasher runs. But we are not yet sold on the utensil rack attached to the door. They are still wet even after the drying cycle runs. But that is a minor issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Some good/some bad aspects

I hate the fingerprint stainless steel. I also bought a GE range/oven @ the same time in a brushed chrome - which I love. GE's dishwasher had the silverwear tray in the machine, not door like whirlpool, but I would give up that convienience for a brushed chrome finish..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Whirlpool Gold Dishwasher - Fair

I bought this dishwasher to replace my old, very basic, 17 year old Maytag dishwasher. It took me awhile to get used to this Whirlpool. I knew how to load the old one to the maximum capacity - I'm talking holiday dinner dishes for 10. This dishwasher cleans well and is very large. I don't like the silverware container. I need to load the silverware at the end which I'm not used to. I also don't like that I have to use the Jet Dry liquid or the dishes won't dry - does Whirlpool own a Jet Dry company? I'd say overall the dishwasher works well but is expensive. It is very quiet but the average complete cycle is about 3 hours (energy saving?)
