I bought this dishwasher about a month ago. It was easy to install and very simple to operate. It looks terrific and does the job well!

I definitely did my research and it paid off! This dishwasher had good reviews, and I can agree with them now. Cleans everything great, including my pots! So far so good. And super quiet! Now we don't have to wait until we're in bed to run it. It can run while we're watching tv. Go for the Gold Series though. The 760 series. Not lower, as this is the series with the best reviews.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been having some trouble with getting my machine to start. For the first 2 or 3 times I had no problem at all. The glasses sparkled and everything was very clean. The last 2 times that I ran a load, I had to keep playing around with the start and it eventually ran. My glasses no longer look clear unless I wash them by hand before I put them in the rack. I am using Finis Jet Dry rinse aid and Cascade pellets. I love the quiet running, but am not sure if I would recommend this machine.

Great dishwasher!

I bought this dishwasher 4 months ago and love it! The only thing that took a while to get used to was the longer cycles, but all the machines currently in the market take the same amount of time or longer. I usually run it just before going to sleep, so it doesn't matter to me now.I can attest that whirlpool makes dishwashers to last and perform! I replaced my 15 year old whirlpool dishwasher that is still working like a charm. The only thing that started getting warn were the vinyl racks which have been well used with a family of five. This machine has nylon racks which is more durable. It also survived hard water for 15 years. After careful research and the experience I had, I decided to give whirlpool another chance and upgraded to the gold series. In my opinion you get amazing bang for your buck as it has almost all of the features that are offered in other machines over twice the price. In fact you get more space than any other in the market. Yesterday I was impressed that I could put my crockpot on the top rack and it washed perfectly. This is something I could never do in any other dishwasher. I believe it is quite flexible for loading lots of dishes and odd shaped dishes compared to what is out there. There are a few that have more fold down tines but don't perform as well. It took a little trial end error and now I know exactly how to load it for maximum capacity and optimal cleaning results. The best washing cycles are normal and heavy with sani rinse. I believe that the sensors still work and adjust the cycle according to soil level. When in doubt about how dirty your dishes are, just use the heavy cycle and you cannot go wrong. I'll use the 1 hour wash for lightly soiled dishes and wash them first when having big dinner parties. With regards to drying, I do use rinse aid and set it to the highest level. The dishes come out dry. Sometimes plastics have a little moisture but everything else is perfectly dry. There may be a little water condensed on the door or at the bottom of the utensil basket, but it doesn't bother me because my dishes are dry!As far as the utensil basket I haven't had any problems. I have thick handled utensils and regular utensils. If I can't fit any in the slots, I just flip the cover open for maximum felixibility. The only tip I have is to place the knives on the right side of the basket opposite the soap dish. We use lots of utensils and I have never run out of any room, so I don't know why others complain that the basket is too small.Like I said, I did my careful research and this machine had the most reviews and the highest percentage of positive reviews than any other machine in the market. Check it out for yourself.I look forward to opening the door every morning and being pleasantly surprised at how well it washed. Oh and by the way the target wash at the back of the machine really does do an amazing job on caserole dishes with baked on food! I thought it was a gimmick at first, but was amazed after trying it!

Cleans well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using it for a few months now and it cleans our dishes much better than our old unit. I wish it came with some kind of fan or air vent so that I did not have to completely open it (and remove the in-door silverware holder) for dishes to finish drying. The washing time (over 2.5hrs) is also much longer than our old machine. I imagine this is for energy efficiency? I have gotten used to it, but it was a change.Make sure your unit is completely level and you pull the bottom rack straight out, and completely seat it in the door when filling. If not it will jump off its rails very easily.I think I was hoping for some kind of miracle machine after dealing with our older unit for so long, but for all its shortcomings this machine does clean dishes fairly well.
