Rinse aid door defective = Wet Dishes

This washer requires hot water, rinse aid, and the heat dry option to be selected. After a few washes the plastic rinse aid door starts falling open during the wash. It will then dump the rinse aid out and the result is wet dishes. Whirlpool has replaced the rinse aid/soap storage plastic module twice and is scheduled to do the same thing again. The design is defective and Whirlpool is wasting my time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had really good luck with this dishwasher. It cleans very well. Even food that stuck to the bottom of a bowl.

The dishwasher cleans well but I am not as pleased with the drying. I have to open the door and the let the silver ware air dry otherwise I have to towel dry the silverware. The door is still wet after the cycle is completed.I initially used the normal wash but it took entirely too long. Now I use only the hour cycle and it sufficiently cleans the dishes.In the rating I would give it a portion of the fifth star, but not a total excellent.

Very, very quiet

What I like about this dishwasher is that it gets the dishes very very clean, but of course, it is new and it should do that. It is very very quiet, if that is important to you.Some of the things that I don't like, and this is just personal perferences, although I like the idea of the stainless tub, it makes it very dark in there and hard to see. My dishwasher faces away from the window and it is dark in there.I find that the silverware rack is too small for my taste and the fact that if you "load" the silverware down through the provided holes, handles first , you then have to handle the eating end of the silverware in order to put it away. The silverware basket has a door that you can open, but I have not found a reason for this feature, I can't even figure that out??I also do not like the fact that if you utilize the "short wash" part of this dishwaser you can not use the "heated water" option. If you use the "target" wash..the cycle runs for over 4 hours. I personally do not think any dishes need to be washed this long, but that is just me.Also and this is just a small thing, the door is very heavy? I don't know why, but it is??

I knew that this was suppose to be a quiet dishwasher but i had no idea that you can barely hear it running. Very easy to use and cleans great

great Dishwasher

I replaced my old whirlpool that got a lot of use while raising 4 children, taking care of 3 grandchildren, having lots of family dinners and weekends(sometimes doing 3 loads a day) and a fair amount of entertaining.I only wanted a whirlpool as my favorite feature is the silverware on the door leaving more room for lots of dishes, serving pieces and pots and pans. I truly do not see why more people do not see the advantage of this?Thank you for still making exactly what I wanted including a black exterior and stainless interior.

Baught this dishwasher because it has everything I was looking for, the stainless steel finish looks great in my kitchen. It has great features and is very quiet ,I run my dish washer at nite so that's important. It's built tougher than the other brands. I highly recommend this product...
