Best dish washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super quiet. every dish clean! reasonable DIY install. They took a couple of inches from the bottom (install/work space) to give a little more room in the tub. The down side is it is very tight space while connecting the unit to water, drain, and electric; but that is a one time thing, right. The one hour wash really works. But, we use the 'sense' wash cycle and just let it run. Most times 3 hours. Yes, 3 hours start to finish. That seems to be the standard for Energy Star dish washers, saves water, uses less then 2.5 gallons of water to do a complete wash/rinse cycle. 1-hour cycle uses over 8 gallons of water; but just as clean. I wonder about the total carbon foot-print 2+ extra hours of electric use vs 5.5 'extra' gallons of water. Well this unit give me the choice. Love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have just had this dishwasher about a week. Mostly I use the one hour wash with heated dry. I just can't see waiting three hours for the dishes to get done. Maybe overnight, but usually I am in a hurry. One thing I noticed is that once it starts, I can't stop it. My husband accidently hit the start button and we couldn't shut it off. No off button. I prefer the mechanical on / off wash /dry selector to the electronic . Plus I was told the board goes bad easily and it is expensive to replace. Might as well get a new dishwasher at that point. Happened to a friend of mine after a year and just after the warranty ran out. Progress? Go back to the mechanical timer selector. The dishwasher cleans OK but some man (LOL!) must have designed the dish placement area because it is not working with my pots and pans too well. Also would be nice to have the old grinder in the sump for any scraps that may have stuck. I almost have to wash the dishes before I put them in. Hate the filter. It doesn't!

Mysterious silverware basket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used my whirlpool dishwasher twice since installation and am very satisfied with its cleaning performance. It's quiet and relatively easy to load with the exception of the silverware basket. I've discovered that the slotted spaces are too small for my silverware rendering that feature useless. Also where to put the basket is a challenge in that on this e door is not a fixed attachment. Thursday silverware falls out when the door is open and flat. Other than that I'm very pleased with my choice of brand.

Don't always trust reviews

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is ok but it's not nearly as good as our maytag that we replaced. The racks not very versatile and the silverware tray is useless. The dishes seem to get clean but don't dry very well. We purchased this machine based on some of the nice reviews we read about it. We will always look at these types of purchases in the store first.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishes sparkle but utensils don't dry on door. Also my knives do not fit in rack. I am not happy with placement on door.As a senior I find the control indicators difficult to read.
