Pretty good dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its really quiet and really cleans well. Issues I don't like are the way the racks are set up for loading and the fact that I can not see the cycle, etc. choices with the touch buttons on the front. I had a 20 year old Maytag that I was so use to loading that I guess anything new is not going to be comfortable.in figuring out how to load things. There is no really good place for large serving spoons, forks, etc. I need to get a flashlight and get down on my knees to see the cycle choices. Probably should have got one with the buttons on the top of the door. The silverware rack will not take the handle of my silverware except tn the larger slots so the smaller slots aren't used very much and it limits places for day to day spoons and forks. With the silverware rack filled and attached to the door, it catches when trying to remove it and causes a little difficulty getting it out to unload.

Great Dishwasher!

I didn't realize the stainless steel interior would aid in the drying process and that was a big plus for me. My other dishwasher just did not get the dishes dry even with rinse aid. Thank you Whirlpool for this exchange! I am a very satisfied customer!

Does a nice job of cleaning dishes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had it about 6 weeks. It does a good job of cleaning dishes and pots and pans. Doesn't always come out completely dry but hasn't been a deal breaker.

Second Whirlpool Dishwasher, Some Changes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First Whirlpool washer lasted 15 years before the electronics gave out and it would not reset. Installation of the new unit was straightforward with no issues. It was nice to see a side screw option for securing the washer if the under counter attachment is not an option. When purchasing appliances we look for models without too many bells and whistles. They are just added cost and repair items and are hardly ever used. We are disappointed there is not a built in disposer. Instead there is a filter to keep clean but it is not a frequent task. The price of the unit should have been less compared to other units with a disposer. So far we are satisfied with how well it cleans the dishes and flat wear. The normal wash cycle takes a very long time - about 3 hours 20 minutes! this is much longer than our old unit which was about 80 minutes. It might use less water but the electrical power use is about 3X more. It is very quiet during operation.
