[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was time to replace our 2005 Whirlpool Gold dishwasher, so we decided to stick with them. Since the installation a little more than a week ago, so far so good. It's definitely quieter than the 2005 model (which was pretty quiet anyway). We like the adjustable tines on the top and bottom racks. And like our last dishwasher, the top rack adjusts up and down - allowing for larger items to be put on the bottom rack. We didn't use that feature too much with the last dishwasher, but it is very handy for those times when it is needed. One thing we were disappointed about: Not all of the slots on the utensil basket are big enough to put our knives, spoons and forks into! Half the slots are smaller than the other half. The utensils do fit in the larger slots, but not the smaller ones. With the last dishwasher, all of the slots were the same size and fit the everyday utensils. This basically means that the slots need to be "flipped up" in order to load it up with all of the knives, spoons and forks. Not a deal breaker, as we figure it's time to get new utensils anyway. We'll just make sure that whatever utensils we buy will fit in all of the slots! The manual stresses several times that a rinse aid should be used for maximum drying of dishes and to ensure the inside of the dishwasher doesn't have a lot of moisture after the dry cycle. Pay attention to this advice, because if you don't, your dishes will not be completely dry.
