NOT Happy at All

Bought this dishwasher about 3 months ago and truly regret it. My previous builder installed dw was not broken but I wanted to upgrade. Oh how I wish I had kept my builder grade dw. This dishwasher takes an ridiculously long time to "clean" and "dry". Both clean and dry are far from what actually happens. This dw does not clean well at all, even after 3 hours!!. The drying cycle is the worst. Nothing ever comes out dry! This is very irritating and has caused great anxiety. We've already had a service man come out with no resolution and the company we purchased it from will not take it back. I feel like I have been taken advantage of. In the name of customer satisfaction and customer service there should be a better return/resolution policy in place.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this last month and it is so great...cleans wonderfully.. also so quiet you do not even know it is running. I would recommend this product.

I have buyers remorse. Part of this is due to my negligence for not asking more questions during the buying process... the rest is due to Whirlpool's design.The appliance store I purchased this from did an excellent job representing the dishwasher and answering all of my questions. I considered models from Maytag and Bosch before settling on the Whirlpool. In addition to being less expensive than the two other brands, the deciding factors in favor of the Whirlpool were power jets during the wash cycle and a positive review from consumer reports. Water efficiency and quieter cycles were other positive features. My complaints...1.) The silverware bin is in the door and frequently items do not come clean. 2.) Even though the exterior dimensions of the dishwasher are identical to our old dishwasher and appear to be industry standard dimensions, the interior is much smaller than our old model. Thus, the dishwasher needs to be run more frequently. 3.) A normal wash cycle with a heated dry and high temperature scrub takes 2 hours and 50 minutes. Without the high temperature scrub, the cycle is longer. Using the power jets requires a cycle that is WELL OVER 3 hours of wash time. 4.) The water efficiency of the machine was stressed during the sales process. Yet, the ridiculously long wash cycles use FAR MORE electricity than our old dishwasher. Additionally, who has time to wait for a 2+ hour wash cycle. The machine does have an 1 hour wash, but the dishes aren't cleaned adequately in this wash cycle. 5.) Despite using a recommended rinse agent, the heated dry does not dry the dishes.I regret the purchase and stress that many of the complaints I have, would have only been realized by using the machine. A salesperson and typical consumer would not have thought to discuss these complaints during the purchase process. Thus, I am stuck with this machine for at least 10 years. I would NOT recommend this dishwasher to a friend, but would recommend asking more questions and doing more research before purchasing any new appliance.

Well designed dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this in April 2016 to replace a GEAnd found it a very quiet appliance which is well designed to accommodate a larger load by using the cutlery basket attached to the door

Amazingly quiet and energy efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can hardly believe how quiet this dishwasher is compared to my old one. I can be in the kitchen and actually talk on the phone and hear! It is also wonderfully energy efficient. One piece of advice: you must hold the start button down for a few seconds, after you have chosen the wash settings, so that the machine starts the cycle.

Great interior design

The interior is designed to hold so much more than my old dishwasher. Being able to lower the upper rack is fantastic for washing large glasses and does not take away any room from the bottoe

I bought this last month and had Nebraska Furniture Mart install it. It fit perfectly in my kitchen. And it is soooooo quiet. I can watch tv in the next room and not be disturbed (I don't even have to turn up the volume to hear the tv).
