The one hour wash seems to wash better than the 3 hour which is odd. Also, 3 hours is a long cycle.

Struck Gold!

We purchased this dishwasher to replace one that was 15 years old. The old one was very noisy, didn't clean well and left everything dripping wet. This new Whirlpool Gold dishwasher is amazingly quiet, gets everything clean, and the dishes are all dry. I wasn't crazy about the silverware basket being on the door, but pleased to discover that we could move it to the bottom basket. We've had the dishwasher about a month now and absolutely love it.

It's sooo quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to replace a Whirlpool dishwasher that was 13-14 years old. This is so much quieter than the other one and it is cleaning much better than the old one. Yes, it does take a long time to go through the cleaning process but that is not a problem in my house. I do one load per day, I will turn it on after dinner and the rest of kitchen is cleaned, Then I settle down to relax in front of the TV or computer and you barely know that it is on. In my opinion, the loudest noise that it makes is the little clicks that I hear when the detergent door opens. Yes, its that quiet. I will recommend this to others.

Happy purchase

We bought our dishwasher about a month ago, it was such a good decision. Our old one left food on everything and was not cost effective. This is energy efficient, cleans wonderfully, and for health reasons, I love the sanitation cycle.
I would recommend this to a friend!
