I do not like my Whirlpool - I purchased it because it was one of the few machines I could get in Almond (Biscuit) Color. I always had a Kitchenaid.I am very disappointed with the machine.The racks are not sturdy - It takes four hours to do the dishes. YOu must be very careful putting the cuttery in the door...I have started washing dishes by hand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased our dishwasher about a month ago and have been very satisfied with its performance. There is adequate room for all dishes, pots,pans and silverware. The cycle is very quiet and we are very happy with its cleaning.

problem with hose

The water inlet hose had a small leak that went unnoticed for two weeks cracking several tiles in my floor. The installer came back, replaced the hose and offered to replace the tile, but the floor is old and the tile would be impossible to find so I did not accept his offer. He was great/ The unit is workign fine with no leaks.Other than the hose failure the unit is great.

Excellent cleaning power

Bought the Whirlpool gold series dishwasher after months of research. We have had it for about 3 months now and absolutely love the quietness and the cleaning power. Beat the pants off of our old Kenmore.

Very, very, very quiet

Our old GE dishwasher was surprisingly bad during our 4 years of ownership. It was noisy, it would break yearly, and it never cleaned well. My wife and I ditched our GE appliances and decided to go with Whirlpool. The Whirlpool dishwasher is great. It cleans really well without a need to preclean the dishes by hand. I have mistakenly opened the darn thing because I didn't know it was on. It is significantly quieter than any other dishwasher I've been around.

Great Dishwasher, But Poor User Guide

I agree with the positive reviews on this dishwasher. I needed the adjustable upper rack, and I love the flatware basket versatility. The "But. . ." for me is the lack of a users manual. You get a basic start up guide with the machine, with instructions to go on line to print out the full manual and additional loading patterns. Only you can't. If you enter the model number, no manual is available. You can see the dishwasher and read these reviews on the website, but no manual. Even attempting to print out an expanded users guide from the overview is a problem. It comes up on screen, but doesn't print. I personally like to know the "ins and outs" of the various options available on the product I purchase, but Whirlpool makes it tough. Too bad, because the dishwasher is excellent.
