Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Total Coverage spray arms and the features included e.g sensor cycle.This is for me, a Cadillac model from my previous dishwasher. Love the way it cleans.

Very quiet but doesn't dry well

We purchased about 2 months ago to replace a 1980s vintage KitchenAid that had become progressively louder. Louder to the point that we could only run the dishwasher when we left the home. The new Whirlpool is ghostly quiet in comparison. Our only complaint is that our dishes, particularly plastic storage containers, are never dry. Metal and ceramic dishes are well dried, but plastic, not so much. Also, it seems to lack a bit of scrubbing power compared to our old KitchenAid dinosaur. Adjustable racks and large open areas for pots are a definite plus. Overall, a good buy, but I've had better performance from cheaper dishwashers.

Great Quality

I bought this in Oct I think as my old one started leaking by the door. My only issues are the basket for flatware doesn't really allow for spatulas and other long handled utensils. I feel that I have to lay them on the top rack or the long arm under it hits the the utensils. I also hope I am doing the detergent correctly but it seems to be cleaning well.

This is a real quiet dishwasher. Very nice cleans well. 2 cons: It does not have food disposer so you have to change the filter and does not have flexible rack space on the bottom shelf so loading pots and pans is limited

Hated to say good-by to my old Whirlpool dishwasher, but I love this new Whirlpool Gold. It is so extremely quiet, we wonder if it really is working. Then we check the dishes--cleanest they've ever been. We mostly use the sensor cycle, which is the most efficient. The target option is awesome--it targets the back of the lower rack and really does the job. I'm impressed. Some of my baking and cooking pans have never been so clean.I wanted a Whirlpool because it's about the only brand that puts the silverware basket on the door. I wasn't sure if I wanted an adjustable upper rack, but I'm liking that as well. It is very easy to move up or down. Overall this new dishwasher is taller inside than our old one, so pots and pans fit better. There are three sprayers--top, middle and bottom--then a separate sprayer for the silverware basket.

I do love our new dishwasher especially compared to the dinosaur we had... However, I have noticed a few items I have to rehash especially silver wear. My only other complain is the 3.5 hours it takes to complete a cycle. Other than that its a good dishwasher. Pretty quiet too which is a plus!

This dishwasher works great. But that is you get with Whirlpool. Many combinations of cleaning cycles makes dishwashing a breeze. Adjustable racks make loading easy and can accommodate just about anything. Dishes and glasses are spotless.We have a great room kitchen and living space with hard floors throughout. This dishwasher is so quiet we do not know it is running. That is wonderful.
