Only Brand with Door Mounted Silverware Rack

We had a Whirlpool Gold before that was 13 years old and wanted another. Whirlpool is the only brand that has the door mounted silverware rack that we like as all other brands take space from the lower rack for silverware. We upgraded to a better model with the SST interior.

Quet, easy to use and cleans everything well

Purchased this to replace a 13 year old Whirlpool dishwasher which did a good job but was very noisy. The pump went out and it was not worth repairing. It was the original machine that the builder had installed. So, a quieter dishwasher was my first requirement. This machine does a great job cleaning even casserole dishes with baked on food and things dry very well also, including plastic. It is so quiet, that I have to look at the panel to see if it is running. Love it!

Life CAN continue

We bought this a month ago and it is the BEST purchase for our new home. It is so quiet while it runs that "life can continue" without yelling, turning up the TV and/or moving rooms. The dishes come out sparkling clean and dry. This is the fourth dishwasher I have owned in my lifetime and it far exceeds every other one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not perfect cleaning

I bought this last month after having another Whirlpool dishwasher I loved. This one does not clean as well and leaves residue on the outside of glasses. It doesn't dry the dishes completely even though I use the "heat dry" setting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super Quiet, but.......

Been a Whirlpool person for decades. This one is truly quiet. Can even watch TV when it runs. Cleans well, BUT dishes are only dry in bottom rack, with maybe 1/2 dry in upper. This even with heat dry option selected. Previous Whirlpool gave totally dry dishes without heat dry option. Oh well, technology trade-offs.

We recently had to replace our other Whirlpool Dishwasher and I'm just thrilled that we have multi options. I really love the 1 hour wash cycle. It's nice not that I do not have to wait for the 3 hour cycle to stop. 1 hour does the trick.

Second Whirlpool in 15 years

After 15 years my last Gold Series Whirlpool finally gave up the ghost with a motor burning up. We were very happy with that one... however it had a white plastic interior so when we would do dishes after eating Italian the interior got pink. I was happy to get this one with the stainless interior. It is very quiet, cleans very well, but does have a long cycle to wash and dishes are slightly more damp at the end of the dry cycle than my prior model. What is new with this one is the addition of casserole cleaning jets and silverware cleaning jets. The filter also seems more accessible. My #1 requirement in a dishwasher is to end up with clean dishes and this unit seems to do the trick. Just hope this one also lasts 15 years.

This machine cleans beautifully an is extremely quiet.Sometimes you cant even tell that its running! cycle time seems a little long though.
