Very Quiet Operation

I bought this dishwasher a few weeks ago and am pretty happy with my decision. I replaced a 15 year old Whirlpool that was still working but was outdated, noisy and nowhere near as efficient.I'm not 100% happy with the silverware basket due to the size and am still figuring out whether the silverware is getting as clean as I would like. (I might be overloading it or perhaps the silverware sits too long before being washed since there are only two people in my household.) As others have mentioned, it takes some time to figure out how best to load the dishes and which cycle is best for your needs. Most cycles take 3-4 hours to complete but it is very quiet during this time... All in all I would say this is a good dishwasher that is made in the USA and is reasonably priced.

We installed this dishwasher about 2 weeks ago. I have never had cleaner dishes, silverware and glassware! I love this dishwasher!!

Modern and energy efficient, water saving.

Extremely quiet.....well built, I have been updating my old whirlpool appliances with new ones.This new dishwasher uses approx 3.8 gallons per wash....you can not even fill the soap side of a sink for hand wash with 3.8 gallons, much less rinse them by hand....should save 4 times the water over hand washing.I am a skeptic, so I took the drain hose and put it into one side of the sink and let it fill that side with a complete cycle.....there was not even enuff water in there to hand wash a load of dishes.....OUTSTANDING!Uses very little power and gets dishes clean......I am very happy with this purchase....stainless steel inside and out.....run times are from 1 hour to 4 hours depending on settings, but that is normal for these new washers.I have also replaced my over the range microwave with a new whirpool one......also excellent.I hope to update my whirlpool icebox to new one soon as the 20 year old whirlpool fridge I have now has some dents etc from use and I am sure it is not as energy saving as the newer ones.....I have been very happy with whirlpool over the last 20 years.

I can't say enough good things about my new Dish Washer! It is so quiet, and it just cleans better than any Dish Washer I have had before! The utensil caddy is on the door, which leaves plenty of space for dishes and pots and pans! I LOVE this feature! I have tried all the settings and I don't know which I like the best! I hope it last me a lifetime, because I don't know if I could find one that works this great again! I have had it for 2 months, I sincerely mean it, it is perfect!Thank you Whirlpool for making my perfect dishwasher!SincerelyKathleen AllisonNortheast Arkansas

Whirlpool Gold dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not very happy with this dishwasher. It takes forever to wash on the normal setting and dishes do not all come clean. I am having trouble with glasses being very cloudy and silverware basket is hard to load and doesn't hold much and they don't come clean. I don';t understand how the rinse agent can come out with the door of it hitting the rack of the dishwasher and never opening until I open the dishwasher door. I have not had to refill it at all because of this. When i open the door during the cycle it seems like there is merely a couple of cups of water trying to get the dishes clean. Maybe this machine needs a makeover. Sorry, I am an unhappy customer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great features & looks good

I bought this last month to replace a maytag I had for 12 years It takes a little longer to wash the dishes but the results are awesome and it is also a lot quieter also the stainless steal exterior looks great in my kitchen.

Dishwasher Upgrade

We replaced our 20+ year old dishwasher. The new Wirlpool is so nice very little noise when operating. The old dishwasher sounded like an old model T. The new one is like a it is not running and makes little noise. Also so happy you made the dishwasher in the color of the old unit. This was an important issue for our purchase.
