Quiet-Quiet-Quiet

This is the sixth dishwasher we have owned during our lifetime. All have cleaned our dishes, some better than others, but this one not only does a great job cleaning but it is the quietest one we have ever owned. A great product for the money.

Good Working Product

All's working well and quiet. A few items of note:1) The door opens at bit harder than expected. When opening the door, I do see the plastic flexing around the handle and electronics area. I suspect after years of use, this has potential to cause problems with electronics in this area. Because of this, I have requested the family not to FULLY close the door when not in use.2) The door-mounted silverware holder is cumbersome, and when loaded has potential to interfere with the opening of the soap dispenser. Holder is now placed in bottom rack.

Love my new Dishwasher!

I installed the dishwasher 2 weeks ago and love it. The stainless steel is beautiful to look at both inside and out. It really cleans great and you could watch tv right next to it if you wanted too. It is Sooo quite. Whirlpool has the only inside configuration with the silverware holder in front that I could find. Most manufacturers put the silverware in the dish section and it takes up a good portion.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as good as old one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher to replace exactly the same model that only lasted 4 years. The former model was really a great dishwasher so even though it didn't last I bought another one! This one is noticeably not as sturdy when I close the door but the bad thing is that it doesn't clean as well and the dishes are usually wet when finished. I thought about returning it but I have a friend who has a Bosch and it does the same thing-doesn't dry well. The only thing I like about it is it is very quiet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher about 2 months ago after getting sick of my old machine (another brand) which never washed anything properly. The machine looks great, does a good job and cleans quietly! Plus I love that it has a 1-hour wash cycle.Only 2 issues I have are that a) it won't hold extra-large dinner plates. I have to use my old regular-sized set. And b) the rack should have had angled plate holders so dinner plates sit at a slight angle. My dinner plates sit up straight and then tend to fall forward.

Cleans well but....

So I have had this machines for a few months now. It is quiet and cleans well. My main complaint is that the rinse aid door almost always pops open. I Read here that this happened to others as well even when replaced the mechanism. I really would like this to be fixed, but don't want to call service if there is no hope that they can fix it.

Great, but

The dishwasher looks great, is whisper quiet, and is well made. What I can't figure out is why the cheaper Whirlpool dishwasher I replaced does a better job drying the dishes. I've read all the instructions and still have to leave the dishwasher door open so the dishes can air dry, or, I have to towel dry them. Very inconvenient.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works As Advertised!

We had always purchased Whirlpool products. When we were ready for a new dishwasher about a year ago we - sad to say - strayed and bought another brand. Soon found out that it was not a good move. The other brand worked at first but then after several months of repairs and no dishwasher for several more months while factory could not make up their mind on what to do we went and bought another Whirlpool. We will never stray again. Whirlpool provides a quality product that is reliable. Should a problem develop they stand behind their products - no question asked. We have had our new dishwasher about a month and have put it through it paces. Works well and some of the new features are excellent. We have rental units and have always use Whirlpool products and never had a problem with any of them. Take it from experience - we will never buy anything other than Whirlpool.
