I searched for a long time to find again a dishwasher with a door-loading silverware basket! Finally remembered the last one I owned was a Whirlpool! My last dishwasher left a residue on bowls in the top drawer, but no more! And I didn't have as much loading room as this one does. LOVE my Whirlpool dishwasher!

We love the features although we are still trying to figure how to use the rinse aid properly to cause it to dry thoroughly. We love the digital view on the outer side of the machine.

Did not last the year...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our brand new home almost a year ago and this was the dishwasher that came with it. It worked ok for the first bit- quiet and clean dishes. It did, however, always have a foul smell- even when it was brand new before we used it- but the dishes came out clean so we figured that it had something to do with closing the door while there was still moisture in it. It wasn't horrible and the dishes were clean so it didn't seem like a huge deal. There were a few instances where it leaked brown water out the side- but that only happened a few times and I'm pretty sure the door wasn't shut all the way. This last month it stopped cleaning and drying our dishes entirely. Now we are just using it as an expensive drying rack since we have to hand wash everything. I checked the filter and nothing was blocking the drain, our disposal works great and we've had no issues with the sink filling up while the dishwasher is running, and the p-trap is clear. I would also run it periodically with soap that is supposed to clean hard water deposits. Someone is supposed to come take a look at it tomorrow since it is still under warranty- I'm hoping that whatever is causing this problem is fixable because we shouldn't have to replace a dishwasher that is under a year old and I do like how quiet it is for a dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of Cycles

This dishwasher was installed in late July. I have never had a dirty dish come out of this machine. It saves $$ when using the Normal cycle, and there is a quick one hour cycle as well. One can add heated dry or high temperature wash if that is desired. I have trouble with the in the door silverware rack because it is low, but you can hang it on the lower dish rack. It holds a lot of dishes of all sizes, and the top rack can easily be raised or lowered. It is so quiet!

Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the features on this dishwasher ie: adjustable upper rack, extra target spray for pans that need extra cleaning, plus the spray for the utensils.

My only slight complaint is I'd like for the dishes to be a little more dry, but I've never had a dishwasher that dried dishes very well, so I can't really complain about that. Would totally buy this again.
