BAD Dishwasher

10 years ago when I built my house I purchased all Whirlpool Gold appliances - cooktop, oven/microwave combo, refrigerator, and dishwasher. I was pleased with them all until about 9 months ago when my dishwasher became loud enough to wake the dead. But I decided to replace it with the newer model of Whirlpool Gold because I had been happy with its performance.I'm not so happy this time. I waited 4-6 weeks for delivery of my new dishwasher that turned out to be defective (the door was missing a piece and so the dishwasher was not functional). I then waited another 4-6 weeks for another new dishwasher, only to get it installed and have it quit working after 2 washes.Now I'm waiting a week to have a repair person look at it, and then who knows how long I will have to wait to get it repaired. It is crazy to be repairing a brand new dishwasher!The dishwasher is beautiful, and if it worked I would love it. But instead, nearly 5 months later, I am still hand-washing my dishes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

nice quiet dishwasher

Bought this dishwasher when we upgraded our kitchen. Wanted a stainless steel unit inside and out. Very concerned about db noise levels as well. Pleased with everything about this machine.

If you want a quite performance this is the one. Even after almost 2 months I still go into the kitchen to make sure it is still running. They have an upper rack that adjusts up and down as needed for height on the lower rack. The silverware holder can be placed on the door or on the lower rack under an overhead rinse sprayer on the top rack. They have adjustable/slanting sections to help with longer or larger item. I only wish there were more but when I use the TargetClean option on the lower rack my pots and pans are always clean, no need to rinse any dishes before placing into dishwasher, just scrape off loss particles. Love the stainless steel interior.

I never realized how loud my old dishwasher was until I bought this one! It is so quiet I have to check to be sure I turned it on. It has vey nice cleaning features as well. The target clean and Sani Rinse are awesome. The only down side is the my large forks do not fit in the silverware bin and when it is in the door I need to pre rinse all the silverware to be sure it gets them clean.
