Cleans quietly and thoroughly

Our old dishwasher was noisey and didn't clean well if at all. The new Whirlpool is so quiet you don't know it's running and it cleans thoroughly. We're very happy and satisfied with the product.

Great Dishwasher, BUT....

We are a family of 2 people.PRO. Dishes come out clean, very quiet, easy to load...BUT Cons. This unit does NOT have a self clean filter. The filter in this unit requires you to be somewhat of a contortionist to remove and clean. The first filter has to be unscrewed to remove and requires you to get on your hands and knees and reach in and with one hand steady the spray arm and with the other hand unscrew and tilt the filter to clear the spray arm (spray arm is too wide to just be able to unscrew and just lift out with only using one hand.). Re assembly requires the same. Had I have known how difficult it was going to be, I would have never purchased this model. The book says this filter does not need cleaning all that often, but now only after 2 months, the pump started to make noise and cleaning the filter stopped that. I really clean the dishes before loading, not to the degree of completely washing, but with no heavy food deposits.This unit should be re-engineered to allow the filter to be unscrewed and removed without having to use two hands, which would make this much easier and somewhat tolerable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice and Quiet

We replaced a 15 year old Whirlpool gold dishwasher. We wanted to get the same brand as the old one. We are very pleased with both dishwashers, I hope the new one lasts as long as the old one.

We have a whirlpool washer and dryer that are 25 years old and still working! So when it was time for a new dishwasher, we checked out whirlpool. We liked the whirlpool better than all the other brands we looked at, and we brought it. We have been using it for two weeks and so far it has been excellent, and we really like how quiet it is.

My new whirlpool dishwasher was installed 12-11-15. It worked about 2 weeks. Then when I ran it, it sounded like it was not getting water. It did not even melt the cascade. I worked with it wondering if it was me, but know it was not The dealer came up and looked at it. didn't work. came again and ordered a part. then they thought they had it fixed that it didn't need the new part. Well after they left I ran the dishwasher. opened up the door and the dishwasher had not worked again. Is there any compensation for the trouble I have been going through? Not very happy, maybe I should have a brand new one installed.
