Gets dishes clean fast!

We bought this unit about three weeks ago to replace a unit with a broken latch that I was unable to repair. It was costly by the standard of our past dishwasher, but our expectation was that we would get good, long use out of it. It works extremely well and washes and dries a full load in an hour.PROS: Quickest and best wash we've ever hadCONS: Unit is taller and deeper than our previous dishwashers. We had to have a professional come and install it. He found that he had to remove the wheels to make it fit in our cavity. Also, with a wall plug attached, he could not push the unit far enough back into the cavity. It was necessary to make a hardwired electrical connection. Not my preferred method, but I guess I can live with it.

Have used for 3 weeks. works Great and very quiet. The only thing I would change is the silverware tray in the door. would be much easier to reach if in the main basket.

Very Quiet and Effective

I bought this dishwasher about a month ago and I am very pleased with it. It is very quiet, I can run it during the day and it is not disruptive, I can hardly tell it's on at times. I like how the top rack lowers or raises up if I need it to for bulky items. I have washed a baked-on lasagna pan and it came out completely clean. It is fairly simple to install on your own (according to my husband) and easy for my 8 and 6 year olds to load and empty. My only complaint would be the silverware basket. We have thin-handled silverware and it is still difficult to slide into the silverware slots. I do like the feature where I can either have the silverware basket on the door or inside or outside the bottom rack.The extra sprayer for the silverware works great and gets it all clean. We have 4 children and a lot of dishes, I run this thing at least once a day, sometimes more, and I have never had to re-run a load, even without pre-rinsing the dishes. The normal cycle is a little long, but it is effective, dries the dishes completely (except for some tupperware but I think that's common for any mid-range dishwasher) and there is also a delay wash feature that's helpful.

can't even tell it's running

We've ran the dishwasher on a few different settings and with different work loads. We are very happy with the results on all settings and can't believe how quietly it runs. The only somewhat disappointing performance would be how the silverware cleans when the basket is on the door. Very good rinsing is needed. This is definitely not a good enough reason to pass on this wonderful piece of equipment!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So so quiet and honest to goodness, ,the dishes and silverware actually do come out cleaner with this dishwasher. I use the 3+ hour cycle and never at any time can you hear it running.

We researched consumer reports and it got very high marks. We made a list of the features -vinyl coated racks, stainless interior, short wash feature,quiet. We found the best model bought it and love it and best of all it's made in America

I purchased this dishwasher to replace my old one that I had for several years. I'm really impressed with how quiet it operates. It does an excellent job of cleaning the dishes. I like the stainless steel construction. Easy to operated and several different operating modes make customization easy. The cycles tend to be run a long time ( 2 to 3 hours) but it's worth it to have the cleaned and dried dishes.I like the silverware rack in the door but sometimes the rack slides off it mounts when removing the silverware. Not a big deal but a better design "holder" would help. Sometimes the lower food rack comes off it track when removing pots and pans. Again, no big deal.Overall, I'm very pleased. I'd recommend this dishwasher.

The Best

This is the best dishwasher I have EVER owned. There are not alot of frills to go wrong on it in re; to repair and it cleans better than any that I have owned in the past. We have owned 3 and they were left behind when we sold our homes and moved so I think we have some experience with what is good- I love the SS tub and the ability to move the silverware holder from one place to another the best features clean-I mean really clean everything put it it and the high temp drying-not any puddles of water sitting on top of cups or on plasticware-Thank you so very much Whirlpool for making a very affordable appliance that acts like it has the expensive bells and whistles of the top priced ones in your line... you are the best
