Inaccurate Specifications
on August 31, 2017

The specification for the UDT518SAFP dishwasher shows the exact same dimension for the depth with and with out the handle. Thata is physically impossible as the handle projects outward from the panel for some unknown distance as shown in the picture of this product. We are contractors and accurate specifications are key to are business. Please correct ASAP

Must have options

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to replace our 11 year old Whirlpool dishwasher because we wore it out. I do a lot of canning and with that I had a lot of requirements in a new one. I wanted tines that are straight up and down instead of curved tines to hold my canning jars straight. It had to have a delay feature, it had to have front controls, it had to have a sanitize option, adjustable top rack, the silverware rack had to be either in the door or in the bottom rack. (I learned that Whirlpool is the only manufacturer that has that option) and it had to have the time display. This unit has all of those and some. We've had it for about a month now and I've put that puppy through the ringer as I'm still canning. The ONLY thing I absolutely dislike about it is IT. TAKES. FOREVER to run a load, an average of 3 hours. It has a 1 hour option which I ran a few times but the last time I ran it the dishes weren't as clean. I always rinse the dishes before I load them anyway to get the big chunks off, maybe it was the way I loaded it. Normally the wash time wouldn't matter because we tend to run it at night, but with canning I wash my jars right before I use them, they're clean and sanitized and still hot. I use the display timer to calculate how much time I had remaining to get everything ready, that was the reason for wanting the timer display. Our old Whirlpool washed a load in 76 minutes. I read that this takes so long due to the water only going through one sprayer arm at a time for water efficiency, I'd rather have it going through all of them consecutively to cut down on the time. That's the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars. Other reviewers mentioned the same concern with the time and I did know this going into it but this unit has all of the other features we wanted. It's a beautiful unit, quiet, sleek looking and the SS interior is an upgrade from our old unit. Please Whirlpool redesign a unit to run a shorter cycle. The delivery guys were very courteous, prompt, and professional.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet - check. Spacious - check. Good cleaning - check. Easy to install - check. Good price - check! Good performance. I wish the controls were a bit better laid-out, seems they economized on number of buttons and lights. But it does the job and I can sit in the kitchen while the washer is on. Recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the color and how quiet it is.Our dishes definitely cleaner than they were. I also like how it fits into the space better than our old.Silverware basket as set up using slots only half of our sliverware fits. They also put a sticker on the lower right hand corner I not like, and It is too difficult to remove. I would have given 5 stars if they had not put that sticker on.Because the lining is staianless steel and the rinse aide is gray, it is hard to see how full the rinse aide dispenser is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having all types of problems with the sensor systems, which seem to be stopping the cycles. So much unnecessary technology just to wash dishes. Machine stops for unknown reasons in mid cycles, no lights no indicstors as to why. Operator manual completely inadequate .
