Excellent Dishwasher!

We bought this dishwasher one month ago and are so pleased with it! It washes the dishes perfectly and has so much room. The cutlery feature in the door gives more area for dishes, pots, pans, etc. The adjustable top rack allows me to adjust the height for taller items on the bottom, or lower it for bigger items on top. My dishes come out beautifully clean and dry. This dishwasher has so many options that I will never use all of them, but each option adds time to the wash cycle, so this dishwasher can run longer if you use a lot of the features. I suggest you turn it on at night so that it is done in the morning. We love it and the black color matches all my black kitchen appliances, which was important to me!

Very nice dishwasher. Cleans great and is very quiet. the only con is the length of time it takes to finish a regular wash cycle.

Good Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After waiting six years for our cheap, builder grade dishwasher to die, we were excited to finally upgrade to a better dishwasher. After doing much research and reading many reviews on the major brands, however, we were were a bit discouraged to find that every dishwasher in this price range had significant negative reviews (continually broke within the first year, broke one month after the warranty expired, didn't dry dishes, leaked water on the floor, control panel broke, etc...). We finally rolled the dice and chose this Whirlpool dishwasher because it had all the features we were looking for, had limited negative reviews, and the design was best suited for our kitchen and needs.Overall, I have been happy with this appliance. It's quieter than our older, cheaper dishwasher (but definitely not as quiet as other models I've heard in other people's homes) and it cleans as it should. Our only issue has been the dishwasher will not dry the dishes without the use of a rinse aid, which is a bit frustrating. However, as "problems" go, that is one I would choose over mechanical or performance issues if I were to experience one.We have yet to see how a 3 1/2 hour normal clean cycle will save us energy and water over our previous dishwasher's hour cycle, as our electric & water bills normally climb at the beginning of the summer, but I do plan on comparing bills out of curiosity.

Pleased so far

We replaced our 15 yr. old Whirlpool Gold dishwasher with this new Whirlpool because the seals had aged and did not seal as tightly and replacement parts were discontinued. Other than that it was still going strong and did a beautiful job cleaning and drying the dishes. I've only had this new one about 6 weeks and so far so good. I do love the adjustable racks. Makes it very convenient to fit odd sized dishes. I also love the silverware rack being on the door. My old one had that feature too and that was one of my requirements. The only thing this one doesn't have that my first one had is a second long single rack on the door for long cooking utensils. Other than that, I'm hoping the this one will work like my first Whirlpool did. I'm happy.

THIS DISHWASHER IS A GREAT VALUE, STAINLESS INTERIOR, QUIET, DOES A FANTASTIC JOB, CLEANING DISHES AND POTS AND PANS ! AND THE SILVER WARE SLOTS ARE ON THE DOOR ! MAKES SO MUCH MORE ROOM FOR MORE DISHES AND POTS IN PANS ... VERY HAPPY ! RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE...

We are enjoying the dishwasher. It is very quiet and this was a major concern of ours. we have just today used the AFFRESH to clean it. Only thing I do not like is the Rinse Aid slot is difficult to read and often pops open when I open the door. I think it has something to do with the silverware holders being in the door. I am not thrilled with the draw in the door as food sometimes gets stuck in the draw but it was best choice for us at this time.
