Excellent Dishwasher: Quiet; cleans well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher was installed several weeks ago. We use the 1-hour cycle and get great results. The normal cycle takes almost 3 hours and is quieter and more energy efficient.

Quiet

It's quiet. Wash cycles are way too long. Food sticks on silverware & bowls sometimes have spots. Once the wash & heat cycles are finished the inside is still wet. It's never completely dry. I very disappointed with this Whirlpool product. FYI, this is the 3rd Whirlpool dishwasher I've purchased, by far the worst one I've ever used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a very quiet running Dishwasher! Very easy install and it does a great job with cleaning the dishes. Very happy with Whirlpool products!

Good & Bad

The dishes come out super clean, but only when the pod is actually released. Worked perfectly the 1st month than started having issues with the cascade pod getting stuck or not dissolving. Already had repair man out to check, told me not to use pods & switch to Finish tabs. Working well again. Knives put in front of tablet holder I think impedes projectile of soap. I wish I had paid more attention to the racks; there are no specific bowl holders, not good for little kids stuff & dishes constantly fall over on bottom rack, I don't think the tongs are long enough. Great news-I no longer have to fully scrub dishes before using DW. 5 STARS for that. Only used target clean once- RAN ALL NIGHT LONG, probably won't use again. Overall a little better than ok, but definitely not fabulously made.

We performed a great deal of research before buying a new dishwasher. Our main concerns were decibel level and washing features. One thing we found was the inner construction of most other dishwashers was not up to our standard. Other manufacturers parts and pieces were flimsy and cheap feeling. Some of the rails were made with thin metal that was begging to bend or break. Not this washer! Inner construction was strong. Rails were made with thick gauge metal. Wheel and racks were sturdy. I have to say when we replace our other appliances we will be buying Whirlpool.

So quiet!

We purchased new appliances for our home and are really pleased with our stainless steel dishwasher. It is so much quieter than our previous machine and we especially like the unique utensil holder.

Love this dishwasher! It is so quiet I have to walk up to it to hear if it is running. Dishes come out sparkling. I can leave egg on a plate for a day and it still comes out clean!!
