Disappointing in many ways

We've had the dishwasher about 8 weeks now so I think that is long enough to have gotten used to it. We are disappointed and thinking about getting a different one. Yes, despite the cost of ditching a brand new one.First, it does not get our dishes clean. We tried different cycles; we tried loading it differently; and we also replaced our detergent. None of these strategies made a difference. The dishwasher leaves grease and grime and food particles on our plates, silverware, and plastic containers.Second, the silverware basket is too small. More specifically, it's the slots in the silverware basket that are too small, so half of them are unusable. The larger-size slots hold just 20 silverware pieces. That is not very many - not even a single dinner party. We need a bigger silverware basket.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just had to have service on the new dishwasher. There was a leak and I am waiting for a new door. My previous dishwasher was a little easer to set up my options

Wonderful Dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher 3 months ago and it's been wonderful. It's quiet and cleans my dishes thoroughly even though I don't rinse them (I do scrape them). I am very pleased with the performance of this new dishwasher.

We bought this dishwasher to replace our older Whirlpool which we had no issues with for 11 years, until the door started leaking. Given the age of our old dishwasher and the cost to repair we decided to replace. This model is definitely an upgrade and we like it. It's quieter, the stainless steel interior keeps food particles, etc from sticking to the inside, the racks have more usable space and the digital controls are easy to operate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Superior Installation

The Sear's sales rep knew his product line although it would have been helpful to know that a "dishwasher installation kit" was to be recommended by the installer. We were told by the rep that the hoses from our old unit would be used but when the installer arrived, they recommended a "dish kit" that, they said, could have been purchased with the dishwasher. Of note is that the old dishwasher was very difficult to remove from under the counter, to the point of having to notify the installation team's supervisor. The supervisor, fortunately, had the experience to deal with the issue and the installation proceeded quite well.

Really like our new Whirlpool dishwasher. Very quiet and does a great job getting dishes clean. Lots of different cleaning options was well.
