Great Dishwasher

I bought this a month ago and love it. It is so quiet you have to look to see if it is running. Dishes come out sparkling clean and DRY :)

We have had the dishwasher approx. 3 wks. Some of the cycles are very long. We use the quick one that takes approx. 1 hr. -- our former dishwasher was a Whirlpool and it seemed to clean better that this one. We elected to use the shorter cycle so the trade off seems to be a few things that have to be re-washed. Our former dishwasher did not have a filter, as yet I do not know if I like the filter or not.

Good and Bad

Good is really very quiet.Bad is does not clean dishes very well and silverware in normal cycle mode. Need to hand wash some items before or after.Silverware container mounted on door is poor to load and unload unless door on an angle and very noisy as silverware rattles when opening and closing. When silverware container mounted inside lower rack, silver ware can slip between bottom openings and cause a jam and the door not to close.In need of another dishwasher and will not purchase this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaces a dishwasher I had for ten years and the layout is quite a bit different so I waited to review to allow time to adjust. I chose this dishwasher for the stainless steel tub, foldable prongs, and other things I've grown used to.The main difference that stood out to me was the silverware rack in the front rather than the side. Many times, I just want to put a spoon in the dishwasher and this would save the hassle of rolling out the bottom rack just to do it. It is convenient. However, the silverware rack is much smaller than I'm used to, and between that and the positioning right against the front wall, there's no room to put spatulas, serving spoons, etc in there anymore, so I have to use room laying them flat in the top rack, which seems less efficient and you have to position them to make sure they get clean. Also, even though there is a direct spray on the silverware, spoons don't always get clean like my old dishwasher, I assume because the water can't get it from all sides with this layout.The other annoying thing is that the silverware rack just rests on the bottom drawer, so you have to reach behind it to pull the drawer out. There was a lot of frustration with the silverware falling until we got into the habit. The other option is to attach it to the door but then they all slide out a bit every time you open the door.It's quiet and the features I need, but I'm still deciding if I would have preferred the standard layout.

Super quiet!

I bought this a month ago and have used it only twice. Whisper quiet!!! Love that part. It is different from my old one in that it is stainless inside and therefore dark. My other one was white. I find this one hard to see in. Has some nice features. I also have a hard time reading the rinse agent fill guide, but I'm getting there. I've only used it twice since we don't have many dishes. But I am very glad I bought it.

New Features for Me

This dishwasher that I have had for about a month replaces a Whirlpool Gold that I had for almost 15 years. I am very pleased with the new machine. I do miss some of the cycles that were on my old machine; such as a cycle for china and quick rinse. But I am still getting acquainted with the capabilities of a couple of cycles on this one.I love the stainless steel interior and the many jets that have come in very handy for cleaning a few pans used in baking.Also, I cannot believe how quiet this one is. When in use, I have to check periodically to be sure it is still operating. I only wish it could alert me when the cycle has completed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Mediocre dishwasher

Bought about a month ago. The dishes come out wet. Even the inside front door is wet after the dry cycle. The silverware caddie leaves a puddle on the counter if you pull it out to empty the silverware. The hinged cover to the Jet Dry dispenser opens often, almost as if it gets caught on the bottom of the top rack. It is quiet. Good flexibility on dish and glass placement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
