Not a good washing machine

This dishwasher was bought to replace the old Whirlpool dishwasher that we had for 15 years. We had this dishwasher installed in June 2015 & have been VERY disappointed in the quality of cleaning. Nearly every time we wash dishes & silverware in this new waasher, they come out dirty with food still caked on them. What's the use of a dishwasher if you have to make sure you wash your dishes BEFORE putting them in? Mind you, we don't leave the dishes in the dishwasher for days before use. We put them in and wash right away. A tech from Whirlpool came out after two weeks of installation. He said that everything checked out fine. That means that, even after following every instruction and having a tech come out and check the dishwasher, this machine does not clean very well at all. We are very disappointed in the lack of quality. If possible, we will return this dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the extra sprayer for the silverware!

We absolutely love this dishwasher, it is very quiet and has lots of room. We are huge fans of the silverware inside the door and now with the extra sprayer under the top rack, it can even spray peanut butter off knives!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was expecting a bit more.

We bought this dishwasher because of the great reviews. There are good points and bad points to this product. The pros: Good price for a dishwasher with heated drying, washes dishes well, nice size silverware container, has a one hour wash cycle if you can't wait the normal 3-1/2 hours, very quiet. The cons: seems smaller than our old dishwasher, doesn't dry as well as we would like: silverware container is always drippy wet even after using the heated dry feature and other dishes are damp too, extremely long wash cycle. The normal is 3-1/2 hours with drying. The second time we used it the rinse aid dispenser knob fell off and ended up melting on the drying element causing a horrible smell for days in our home. We called for a replacement knob last week and they are sending us a new one (we hope-didn't get it yet).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Continual problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 2 months ago. I had it replaced once, 4 calls out and the service tech was very patronizing and that was all within the first 3 weeks.The dishwasher cleans very well and is quiet but the switch or circuit board or whatever is not reliable. Today, July 9 the machine has just taken 97 minutes to run through 45 minutes of time on the timer. The other day the time did not change for an hour. If I open the door to put something in, the machine has 5 attempts to get going again. The service tech told me that was normal and it is the sensors and the turbidity of the water and whatever else he could think of and I just need to turn it on and forget about it. He had no answer when I told him it had never had dishes in it at that point as it had never worked properly. He even had to call Whirlpool to get the service codes.This machine has not run reliably since I bought it, but after 4 or 5 service calls I just kind of gave up on it. Today it has so far taken 3.5 hours to get halfway through a 2.5 hour cycle with rinsed dishes and hot water and the dry cycle turned off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

my wife loves her dishwasher! it does a great job cleaning the dishes. she needed to keep her hands out of water as much as possible because of her hands cracking. we thought a dishwasher was the best thing to do. after she got to using it she would not take nothing for it. she could not believe how great it cleaned. very very quiet too. love it!
