Works well, but poor interior design

This dishwasher replaced a 14 year old Kenmore. It's a good thing I kept the Kenmore utensil rack, as the Whirlpool one is so badly designed. I don't have clunky utensils; they're your basic style, but they only fit in a few of the holes in the rack, unless I keep the top of the rack in the open position. And, even then, you can't use the extreme left of it, because the utensils will then block the door to the detergent preventing it from opening.Also, the top dish rack is badly designed. I can't place tiny plates in there, because the tongs are placed so far apart.I can't believe the designers at Whirlpool didn't see these flaws.I was hoping this dishwasher would last as long as my Kenmore, but I think I'll probably be replacing it sooner than not out of frustration.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had this installed about 3 weeks ago. There are only 2 of us, so it takes a few days to build up enough to run it, but so far the runnings have been successful! It is very quite. Washes extremely well. glass cookware comes very clean. Only complaint would be the rinsing agent 'window'! I cannot see the agent 'level' even with a flashlight. So, I will simply have to try to add more agent and see if it takes it. Other than that, great machine!

Cleans dished very quietly

We bought this dishwasher two months ago. It has done an excellent job of cleaning the dishes. The heavy duty cleaning for the pans has worked well. They only issue we have encountered is the inside of the dishwasher isn't always dry at the end of the cycle, however the dishes and silverware are dry. We like the silverware basked in the door.

We just bought this dishwasher and find that it cleans the dishes well and is nice and quiet... the install took quite a while, but this might be just because we didn't know what we were doing.
