Superior Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the adjustable top shelf and the extra jet for silverware...really gets all extra clean. The stainless inside stays nice and shiney and I love that. So glad I made the choice Idid.

Not built like they used to be

Have had my new dishwasher for a couple of weeks now, and am still getting used to it. My last dishwasher was a Whirlpool & came w/ our house, so it lasted 25 yrs. & was still working. First impression of the new dishwasher--it looks very nice, but boy are they made cheaply now! And we were told it's life-span is projected to be 7-8 yrs.! It arrived w/ one broken wheel, which we didn't want to deal w/ having replaced, so we used a small piece of wood to jack it up, and after we had already installed it, we realized one lower corner also has a dent! Didn't want to uninstall & deal w/ waiting to have it replaced, so we're just living w/ it--disappointing when you pay that much for something. We chose a Whirlpool because they are the only ones who make the silverware tray in the door, which is what I was used to. I don't particularly like it tho. It doesn't hold as much silverware as my old machine did, & I can't put my longer cooking spoons/spatulas, etc. in it. They have to go in the top rack. The prongs on the racks aren't long enough to keep my plates from toppling over, & they're flimsy. I can't fit as many dishes in this washer as I could my old one & I don't like the lengthy cycles. When we purchased the machine we didn't realize it was going to take over 3 hrs. to run the normal cycle. The soak & wash cycle runs over 7 hrs.! What?? Hard to imagine that would take less energy than a 30 min. cycle. Have to plan way in advance if I am going to be needing anything cleaned in the dishwasher. I could wash by hand in far less time than it takes to run a cycle in the dishwasher. This machine does clean better than my old one did--atleast towards the end of it's life. I don't have to scrub my plates off so thoroughly before I load as I did w/ my other machine, tho I could let my dishes air dry & they would mostly come out dry. On this machine I am removing some dishes that are still wet even after they heat dry. So all in all, I guess I'm not that thrilled w/ the dishwasher, tho I am still getting used to it. It looks nice, but the quality is just not there. I don't know why manufacturers can't make a mid-priced machine that is built w/ the quality to last many years--one that can be repaired & not simply disposed of when it starts to wear.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Dishwasher at a Fantastic Value

This unit is very simple to use and the end result is always superior. It's quiet and the touch pad is responsive to a gentle touch(my last unit had a touch pad that you had to press too hard to activate the options).
I would recommend this to a friend!
