Broken and Braun still hasn't replaced item

I bought this item earlier this year for my mother as part of the Multiquick 5 Model with various attachments. This chopper broke within the first use or two. I emailed Braun about it with the proof of purchase months ago and they have yet to offer to replace the unit although it is still under warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
