Good while it lasted

Easy to use. Enjoyed it until it broke down after 3 years. Smelled like something burned down inside the microwave. I believe the manufacturer's warranty is 1 year.

Purchased Breville 1.2 Microwave Oven in November 2017. It died after 2 years and 3 months. Too much money for 2 years. Warranty should be 3 years for the price. Called the company and all they offered me is a discount on another Breville product. Why would I do that????? Thought they had better quality!

THE BEST microwave EVER made! Love, love LOVE this baby! Doesn't collect fingerprints; has a sturdy handle (as opposed to a flimsy push button that will break before the machine does); great display panel that shows power level and, with the scroll of the dial, the food group you are microwaving. Select (e.g., soup) and it will defrsot, reheat, or cook it depending on which initial button you pushed. This is, hands down, the smartest, most intuitive microwave ever built. I drove from the country and half way through the city to buy this puppy on sale, and glad I did! The exceptional quality of this microwave has now peaked my interest in ALL Breville products. Cheers!

I have not had a single issue with this microwave. The sensor/smart settings work really well. Defrosting meat has never been this convenient. With the smart/automatic reheat, I have noticed that if you have two or more different minds of foods on a plate it doesn't always recognize it perfectly - I usually just keep an eye on things to make sure it doesn't over heat the food. Softens butter perfectly. Never burns popcorn.
11 out of 10 I love this microwave and would buy again and recommend to a friend. Watch the video on it, it's true.
Only other thing I will note is that some of the smart and automatic settings ask for the weight of the food. It's not bad when things are coming out of packages, but when reheating meals I use a food scale to get the settings right.
I would recommend this to a friend!
