Educational & Fun For Young Kids

My favorite part of this new LeapStart system is that my daughter is not staring mindlessly into a screen. She's engaged and learning while still having fun. My 4 year old nephew and 6 year old daughter have enjoyed hours of play with several of the activity books.
I love that the system guides your child as they play. It tells them when they get an answer right or wrong and offers assistance towards the correct answer when they are having trouble. My daughter never once has gotten frustrated by not knowing the answers. The system itself is very user friendly- for both parents and kids- and easy to set up. It's great to take in the car to keep my younger kids entertained while out at activities and sports for the older kids. I don't have to hear them beg to play my iPhone and I don't have to worry about them dropping or breaking the LeapStart! I do wish the system came with a plug because we've gone through a lot of batteries. I would encourage you to buy rechargeable batteries!
I would recommend this system and the activity books to anyone with kids ages 2-6. We received the LeapStart system and several activity books for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are honest and my own.

LeapFrog does it again!

Yet, again, LeapFrog has a wonderful new product. Here's why: 1. The size of the system is perfect. Little hands will have no problem toting it around, nor playing with it...and it makes for a great lap activity in the car 2. It's super durable. Could definitely take a beating! 3. The stylus is attached, and you can plug in headphones. 4. 16 different books available, but it also comes preloaded with activities. 5. It uses good old AA batteries. No charging!
And, on top of all of that, the price is right! Totally recommend!

Amazing Learning Tool and Toy

My son got this for his 2nd birthday and I think that it is his most used toy that he got. He's been using the ABC's book for weeks now and I find him playing with other toys and reciting the first 5 letters of the alphabet on his own. For a 2yo I think that is amazing. He is now starting on Shapes and Colors and I can't wait to see how fast he starts picking that up.
If you want a good learning tool for your child then this is definitely the way to go. Hours of fun and a very reasonable price point, plus 4 books for each level of difficulty. You can't go wrong with this. I always wanted a Leapfog when I was a kid and fully believe I would've started a head of my kindergarten class if I had had one.

Perfect for screen time breaks!

This system is our go-to choice when my youngest needs to take some time away from the screen. It's a fun, engaging educational toy that still feels high-tech to him, even without the screen. I love how much he learns from it during his playtime, and can't wait to see what else he picks up in the future!

Fun, educational preschool tool

I feel like in the past, the interactive learning toys were geared more towards Bud but this one, Bennett actually preferred over Bud!
They love putting in different books and the First Day of School one was very helpful for both of my dudes! They like pretending that it is their “work computer” like Mama’s.
All in all, I recommend this for preschool aged children and it is durable so it is great for road trips or waiting rooms! It’s larger than the LeapPads so it doesn’t store away easily into your purse and is cumbersome at the dinner table if you are in a restaurant but great learning tool.

Perfect travel learning toy!

LeapStart has given my children the ability to be active without staring at a tablet or computer screen all afternoon. It’s been quite a blessing around the house in more ways than I can explain to you. The book is easy to carry around and the books that are available give more activities to keep my children entertained. It is something that has been pretty great in distracting my children but saving their eyes from staring at a tablet.
My girls are around the age recommendations for the Leap Start. My oldest is five, but she has enjoyed this much longer than my one year old does. It’s easy for both of them to use the attached stylus while interacting with the book that was provided with the Leap Start. The small sample book is perfect to teach your child how to properly use the Leap Start, and it’s especially great for keeping them entertained for little bits at a time.
The platform that holds the books interacts with your child as they guide the stylus through each page. It tells them when they are wrong, or right, and even helps them figure out the correct answer. It has noises, and everything else that may come with a tablet, just no moving pictures. My daughter loves to play with this and my youngest definitely loves to move the stylus around just to hear it make sounds.
There are tons of other things out there that can entertain your child. However, if you’re looking for something that is not a tablet, or something that will get lost because of small pieces, this is highly recommended. I absolutely love this book for my daughters. They have taken it wherever we travel in the car, and have even taken it into the store to play while I’ve shopped.

We LOVE the New LeapStart

LeapFrog does it again by helping young children learn in a fun way by using fun and creative devices that are simple and easy to use! I say it every time I do a review for Leapfrog and I mean it every time, I am always so amazed at the new products that they introduce every year
This fun new LeapStart is kind of a mix between the old school LeapPads and the Leap Reader. It is very easy for little kids to use. They aren’t looking at a screen, which I really like, and they hold a big stylus and are looking at very cute colorful books. The purpose of the LeapStart is to help children’s critical skills. With a library of books across 4 different learning levels, children can grow and progress.
My little 3 and 5 year old are loving their LeapStart! It’s fun because of all the different things it is teaching them. The different books are great. Each page of each book has an activity that teaches them different skills.

This system is very easy to set up and uses 2 AA batteries, which is nice, but I would love if you could also plug the system in. I would recommend using rechargeable batteries so that they last longer!

What happened to Level 4?

I bought this for my sons last Christmas and they both love it. It is easy to use, fun, and educational. One of the reasons I purchased it was that it had 4 levels of books, so it could grow with my children. I purchased most of the preschool and kindergarten books last year, with plans to get the Level 4 1st Grade books this year. Now I see that it is being marketed as a 3 Level system and that there have been no new Level 4 books released. It is also difficult to find the original Level 4 books. I am disappointed that Leapfrog changed the audience for the system as I was looking forward to getting some more challenging books for Christmas this year.
