There is a known issue with the WAT40's water pump. Our WAT40 only lasted 4.5 months. When I called NewAir, they said it was a known issue and they'd take care of it. However, when they sent the follow up email, I was required to pay $52.00 in shipping cost! For THEIR ERROR. That they KNEW about. I called to make sure I was reading the email correctly. I was. Do yourself a favor and save some money, don't buy the WAT40 (or anything for NewAir).
Cons: Broken Pump, Only if you don't mind wasting money, Won't Last

Hot or cold this dispenser does it all, we love it

This water dispenser was so easy to set up and I can use it for so many things. No more boiling water on the stove when I want to make jello or ramen noodles. Now I can instantly have hot water with just a push on the tab. This dispenser is really lightweight and space saving compared to the older style water dispensers. It only took less than 5 minutes to set up and it was ready to go. It comes with a long cord with a 3 prong plug. So if you're like me and there's no electrical outlet right behind the unit, the cord will reach where I need it too. There's a removable drip tray also so there's no mess on your floors and the tray is dishwasher safe so it can be cleaned easily when needed. This water dispenser stores the water jug underneath the dispenser in the compartment underneath. It is easy to attach the suction hose up to the bottle you just snap it right onto the top of the bottle. I do recommend wiping off the top of the bottle before you do so just in case there may be dust or dirt around the top. When you're not using your dispenser there's a clip on the dispenser door to store the suction hose so it doesn't get dirt or debris inside of it. This dispenser is so easy to use as well and i love the safety feature on it when operating the hot water. There's a button on the red hot water dispenser that you have to hold in to dispense the hot water. This is a great safety feature for anyone with small children or even pets. There's also two switches behind the unit that allow you to turn on and off the hot or cold water if you wish. There's a red and green light that lights up above the hot or cold icons on the dispenser that tell you when it is either heating or cooling water and green of course tells you its ready to dispense. This unit doesn't come with a water bottle but they are really inexpensive if you check out your local grocery or home store. I've been using this unit for 2 weeks now and we love it, we find new uses for it daily

My life is a juggling act of managing household tasks, working, keeping up with an energetic 10 year old, and chasing around an even more energetic 3 year old. That's why I appreciate products like the NewAir Pure Spring WAT40B BPA Free Hot/Cold Bottom Loading Water Dispenser. It helps simplify my morning routine since it's able to provide hot and cold water at my convenience. There are some mornings that I love drinking refreshingly crisp, cold water; while I prefer piping hot tea on other mornings. It literally puts my tea kettle on the back burner since I no longer have to boil my water. It's a tea drinker's best companion!

We at Girl Gone Mom received a complimentary unit in exchange for our candid review. For the longest time we have wanted a water dispenser for our kitchen. We like to buy and use bottled water, but we were feeling guilty about having to dispose that amount of small plastic bottles each week. I also thought it would be so nice to have a choice between ice cold water or hot water for tea or hot cocoa readily available and from the same dispenser. But with so many different water dispensers on the market, how do you choose the right one? I was drawn to the aesthetics of the NewAir Pure Spring WAT40 model, which is available in either white or black. The seamless design of this bottom loading water dispenser allows it to blend into it's surroundings; It looks more like a piece of furniture than a water dispenser and I like being able to make use of the top by adding books or a potted plant. The setup process was easy; Just insert the valve and flip the switches to turn on the heating and cooling systems.The dispenser is equipped with a powerful, energy-efficient compressor. It cools water to as low as 39°F and heats it up to 185°F. This unit will accommodate either a 3-gallon or a 5-gallon water jug. You can also run your home water line directly to it. I was able to pick up a spring water jug from a local grocery store which allows us to exchange the empty tank for a full one so I no longer have to feel guilty about wasting containers. The kids were really excited to start using the NewAir as soon as we got it set up. Featuring stainless steel tanks and BPA-free materials, I can feel good about letting my kids partake. I love the safety feature on the hot valve which requires you to press a button before dispensing any hot water. The removable drip tray is also very convenient and helps to eliminate spills. We felt that the unit was too noisy to be running all of the time so we chose to turn off the switches for the most part and drink our water at room temperatu

Love it but hot water started leaking within 2 months

This unit is VERY handy with the 3 water temperatures, however the "room temperature" one is actually cold, not "warm" as the label says it is. The temperature out of the hot spout is about 165 degrees which is perfect to make my coffee. I pour the water right into the French Press or Aeropress. Love this convenience. I normally drink room temperature water, but the middle spout comes out cold - not VERY cold like the "Cold" spout offers, but cold enough to notice. Not a huge problem but worth mentioning. About 2 months after getting the unit, the hot water spout started to leak. I contacted NewAir and they offered to fix it and offered to pay for half the shipping fee. I'm trying to decide what to do. The dripping is not constant right now, so I'm dealing with it. Other than the dripping issue which comes and goes, I'm very happy with the unit.
