Induction capable, but too small

Nice griddle, but maybe for a freestanding range with knobs in the back. For newer ranges, it works, but is very small. It does not cover the sync burners.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disaster griddle product

This griddle game with range top. It's a terrible product! I tried to make grilled cheese at the med-lo temperature recommended and it took forever to brown the bread or melt the cheese - I gave up and used another pan. When I tried to make pancakes, the oil burned and stuck to and discolored the pan - I could not get it clean without scrubbing, which manual says not to do. What a lousy pan!

Does NOT work with induction cooktops
on February 20, 2017

Although this griddle is explicitly listed on page 2 of the GE PHP9036DJBB Quick Specs it did not work on my cooktop. The cooktop never even detected that it was on any of the induction elements. I tested every element on my cooktop to make sure they all work with a variety of pans and this griddle was the only one that did not work on ANY of them. I finally tested with a magnet and found that it would not work at all. I really wanted this to work and expected it to since it's mentioned in the cooktop's documentation.

Hello Edward11214 - Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry for your situation and we'd like to provide you with some helpful steps for cleaning your aluminum non-stick coated griddle:
1.) When using the aluminum non-stick coated griddle for the first time: Wash with mild detergent and water. Dry thoroughly. 2.) After cooking, let the griddle cool and pour off excess grease. 3.) Wash the griddle in warm soapy water. Allow it to soak a few minutes, if necessary, to soften stubborn soils. 4.) If needed, a non-abrasive plastic scouring pad can be used to remove cooked on soils. (Note: The griddle cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher).
We hope this helps. Thanks for choosing GE Appliances!
