Operating system doesn't always load when turned on. Laptop won't start if peripherals are attached to USB ports. CD player keeps skipping, even with new CDs. Sound quality of speakers is poor and tinny. Overall, disappointed with my experiences on this laptop. Had hoped it would be more like my previous (and MUCH cheaper) HP laptop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just an an average laptop with a POOR display

The display on this laptop is terrible. The color tone is poor and there's a great deal of glare. Also, the screen must be positioned at a very precise angle to display properly. A couple of degrees of tilt either forward or backward, and the display quality goes from average to poor.
The computer shipped with no native drive encryption software for Windows 7. As it's being sold as a business laptop, ProtectTools or some other means of encrypting the drive should be included.
The touchpad works only intermittently. I've tried rolling back the device driver and it still doesn't work consistently.
The lighted keys are super-annoying, as they are not only illuminated on the top of each key, but also around the base of each. Unless you're looking straight down on the keyboard, there's just way too much light.
The long battery life is about the only positive feature.
I would not recommend this laptop.
