Everything You Need in A 18000 BTU Air Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase this a little over a month ago. I couldn't be more pleased. It is an energy saver appliance which is a desired feature. It cools my whole area even though it has been extremely hot here. I recommend this A/C.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 25 year old unit with this around 5 years ago. Worked well until the condenser on the outside rotted and sprang a leak. It costs more to repair than to buy a new one. Id expect more than 5 years of regular use for the investment, I guess they dont make them like they used to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A bit of a problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I unboxed the unit, I installed directly into the wall opening. When I went to plug it in, I discovered that the prongs on the plug in were severely bent. When I attempted to straighten them, the ground prong snapped right off.

Not that impressed

I don't know if I got a quirky unit or just the way this one operates. The unit changes to econ by itself a lot and also the unit kicks off an on even when not at desired temp. The fan speeds up an slows down on it owns very annoying . I can set the temp on cool at 72 an come back home it will be 82 an the ac off an on econ. For the money would not buy again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey KevinIL-thank you for sharing your A/C experience with us. ECON mode is automatically preset when you turn on your A/C. You will have to change the feature mode if you don't want to run the unit in ECON mode. Also, the A/C will show on the display the actual temperature of the room and not the temperature that the unit is cooling at. I hope this information is helpful. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've purchased Frigidaire AC units in the past and were extremely satisfied which is why we bought this particular model confidently. However, this one does not cool the 2 rooms as expected even though the square footage area is much less than advertised. This AC replaced an existing wall unit which we were assured would work as expected and advertised, it did not! The unit ran constantly and never turned off. We now need to buy an additional unit or replace this one unfortunately taking a loss no matter what we decide.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, still humid. Your A/C is designed to cool one room at a time. This also could possibly be why the unit is running constantly since it's too big for the space that you're trying to cool. I hope this information is helpful. And will hopefully save me in electricity being a power saving unit ...... I've never felt better thank you all
