It’s a great coffee maker, however, it’s a little to slow. So we have it pre-set to wake up to a cup instantly

Directions for this 12 cup coffee pot "1 heaping tablespoon per cup" shouldn't that be 12 heaping TEAspoons per cup. 12 heaping tablespoons almost fill the filter up and makes the coffee extremely strong.

Carafe broke in 1 month?

I bought this coffee maker a month ago. I filled it with water this morning, went to place it on the counter and the bottom of the carafe broke (and spilled 12 cups of water all over my counter). The glass seems too thin. I cannot even figure out how to get a replacement without calling which is ridiculous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
