A Very Nice Upgrade from Our Older Levana Model

The Levana Shiloh is the second monitor I've ever owned, the first being a Levana Lila. The Lila is very basic, but it had all that I needed in a baby monitor. I've been using it for about three years, and although there were a few minor hiccups, I've overall been pleased with my experience. Upgrading to the Shiloh has been a real treat, not that I didn't like the Lila, but this definitely has a few more bells and whistles. Right off the bat I will mention that the camera doesn't have a pan or zoom. A pan feature would be nice now that my son is getting older, but it isn't' necessarily a deal breaker for me. I do have to note that the Shiloh monitor does have a button that allows you to zoom in once, but the screen does get very pixilated when doing this.
Like the Lila, the Shiloh has the microphone intercom where you can talk through the monitor and it comes out of the camera's speaker. I use this a lot, so it's nice to see it added to a newer model. The volume has several settings to make it louder or turn it completely off. The loudest setting is pretty high, so that's good. The volume gauge on the monitor is nice for when you lower it. It'll actually light up, so you can still see if there is sound coming from your baby's room. There is a signal gauge to see how well the transmission is coming in from the camera to the monitor. So far, I have had no issues with low signals or interference. The Lila would sometimes interfere with my wireless signal, but it was very sporadic and didn't happen often. So far nothing like that has happened with the Shiloh. The monitor is really nice ("fancy" as I like to say when compared to our older camera). The screen is larger and the picture view comes in way more clearer than the one on my old Levana camera. I can actually see more detail on the screen and also noticed that the overall view is closer than the what my older camera showed.
A few other added features that the Shiloh has, that my Lila didn't:
–It actually shows the temperature. I love this feature, because I live in NY and the temps change drastically from one day to the next.
–It also shows the time, as well as AM or PM. A nice addition that wasn't on my Lila monitor.
–I really like the USB charging. When my little one is napping and I'm doing work on the computer, I can just plus it right into my laptop to charge.
–There is a feeding and naptime timer that can be set. I don't necessarily use this feature, but it's a neat one that's definitely worth mentioning.
–The clip stand for the Shiloh monitor is a VAST improvement than the one my Lila had (other Lila owners out there can probably back me up on this). I went through about four monitor clip replacements, because they kept breaking for no reason other then they were cheap, flimsy plastic. The one lady in customer service is wonderful to work with. She would send me a replacement under warranty each time. The only problem is that it kept happening even after the warranty ended and we were stuck without a clip. The new Shiloh clip is metal (not cheap plastic) with a rubber bottom so it doesn't slip on surfaces. It's also adjustable depending how you prefer the monitor to sit. I am thinking this one will survive much longer than my older monitor clip.
I only use this with one monitor, so I can't judge how well it does with multiple connections on the screen. I do wish there was a way to use my old Lila camera with this, so I could set one up in a second. It would have been nice to have the cameras on the older models interchangeable with the newer ones. The battery life is great, but only time will tell, because it's still new. So far so good with this monitor. It's definitely a luxurious upgrade from our previous Levana, and I'm extremely pleased with it!

We bought this monitor in a hurry after our old one (a Samsung) died. I'm so glad we did! I love the picture quality and the size of the screen. I can literally watch my daughter breathe. There are a lot of features we don't use, but the life saver for me, as a light sleeper, is the sleep mode. You can put the monitor completely to sleep (both audio and video) and it will turn itself back on if it picks up any noise. The only thing that would make this monitor even better is if the camera it came with had the pan/tilt/zoom features. You can buy the camera that does and sync it up though, so its possible, just an added expense.

Originally had a Levana Stella monitor and needed to upgrade for baby number 2. Monitor works as expected and hasn't had any issues. Signal works well throughout whole house and even into the backyard. Like the new features and find having a clock included helpful during middle of the night wake ups. Would recommend to others.

wish the fixed camera had a little more range of motion for wall mounting. other then that, it seems to be a nice monitor.

I bought this monitor about a week ago after two weeks of research and I believe I chose correctly it does everything I want it to and more. It has amazing video quality and I have absolutely no problems with the night vision working ( I read a lot of reviews that said they had problems with it ) The battery life is also amazing, only have to charge it once every two days or so.
