I bought this in April and have hardly used it yet as the battery does not last long at all.

We have been using the Shiloh 5 for only 3 weeks and it's already showing some problems. We turn the monitor on and we can hear the baby but there is no video. We have to turn it on and off several times for the video to show up. It's very frutrating. We are afraid that it's going to completly stop working soon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just bought this and I was pleased with how easy it was to set up and the size of the monitor. I love the temperature display too, so I can rest knowing baby is comfortable.

I bought this unit about a month ago and haven't used it much as baby is not born yet. I have high hopes for this unit, so here's hoping

Set-up for the monitor was really easy and the different settings are clear and easy to manage too. Seems great for the price point; the video has a bit of a delay and is a little grainy but definitely fine for us. Love that it has a good battery life and lots of settings that help extend the battery life even more!

Poor battery life

I bought this monitor during cyber Monday and only started using it now because my baby was born. I never put the battery into the unit until we knew we would be using it. Charged it up and used it for a few hours (4-6) and it died! I’ve used it three more times since then and every single time the battery almost immediately dies. I’ve tried using all the battery savings tips and features but nothing helps. I’d say the battery is defective. I have to keep the unit plugged in at all times when using it. I also noticed that the plug and the monitor get extremely hot when charging and that’s a quite troubling. The other thing I absolutely despise is that I can’t turn the monitor off when it’s not in use. It’s like it just goes into a perpetual sleep mode but it’s using up battery life. Stupid! I wouldn’t recommend this product to new moms unfortunately. We will be buying something else.

I bought this for my upcoming child. We have used it with nieces and it is so easy to set up and use. The quality is good and you can hear and see the little ones with ease.

Good deal for a great camera

Good image quality in both night and day mode. Comes with wall mount and desk mount. Kinda hard to apply to the wall as it points quite close to the wall even with desk mount attached so we opted for desk setup. Great sound. So far great battery. Like the touch screen but more of a want vs need. Has other nice settings like temp. Feeding alarm. Battery save mode. Oh it doesn't clock out or screen go black and that was big for us. It will stay on without being plugged in!
