Good blender

I bought this last March, and it was all great and dandy. I only use it maybe once every 3 months or so. I brought it out last week to make some salsa with the food processor and for some reason I could not put the plastic lid on, then I noticed the jar was warped, so the lid was not fitting correctly. I have looked all over the website and no replacement jar available. What a waste and substandard performance by a brand I grew with and believe to be of great quality. So disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Food processor a disappointment!

I have always owned an Oster blender, and was very excited when I came across this Blender/food processor combo. Unfortunately, my excitement was short lived. After the third or fourth time using it to make bean dip, one of the lid locks broke off. It was also then that I noticed a crack on the bottom side of the jar. I am very disappointed in the food processor, Oster. I have not experienced any issues with the blender, and hope that I don’t. My last Oster blender lasted many, many years!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked three times

I bought this blend/food chopper combo and was excited to use it. I loved the food chopper much more than my smaller older one that I gave the old one away to a friend. Well, I used it twice since then and it doesn't work. The lid on the food chopper will not close. The metal rods that touch when the lid is closed are stuck or something. It won't close or even come close to locking in place. I bought it more than the 14 days to return to so it's worthless now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All the blender I need

This Oster blender doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some other models, but, at the end of the day, it's a very good value. The blender blade and glass jar look and feel like solid, high quality pieces, which makes it easy to overlook a slightly cheaper-looking base with buttons that are a little clumsy. Ultimately, the blender gets the job done, and at a very reasonable price. It's all the blender I could need. The unit cleans easily, and has become a welcome addition to my kitchen. I'm sure I'll use it often for fruit smoothies and protein shakes. (I received this product for free to try.)

Perfect Smoothies!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a replacement for my current blender because it couldn't crush the ice well enough for smoothies. This blender is awesome! I've only made smoothies so far and they are great! It is also really easy to clean with no hidden spaces that traps food.
I would recommend this to a friend!

More bang for your buck

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in search of a new blender with more options for me. This one caught my attention based on the price and the functions available to me. Our family is becoming big smoothie drinkers so the options that allow that were a big seller as well. This blender not only met my expectations but surpassed them. I LOVE all the options available to me. The noise level was as to be expected depending on what we were blending. Easy to put together based on which mixing cup you were using. Easy to clean as well. Not to mention it looks just as good as other high end models. It offers so much more that what we originally purchased it for and we are so happy that we did.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The best in the west for the price

I have bought 3, I for me and one for my son and his girlfriend. Just bought my fourth for my sister in law. It crushes like now! It makes juices in seconds! Love them! Solid quality-glass not plastic! Easy to replace parts, broke the glass and got one ASAP from the company! :)

Decent blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receiving this blender I was impressed with the sturdy feeling of the glass jar itself. The base was not as impressive, it feels much less durable. In my experience the blender was good at making smoothies as long as they didn't include ice. When I would add ice the blender did not seem to have enough power to fully crush the ice as compared to my individual size blender.
Conveniently this model also include a food processor attachment. It is a much less sturdy container than the glass jar. I've used it once to process black beans and it sufficiently did the job.
