I'd give it a zero if I could

What a piece of junk. If you'd like to buy a low quality fan that makes a high whiny noise, this is the fan for you. It does move air, but the engine runs at a frantic pitch-- not at all relaxing or peaceful. Avoid Holmes box fan at all costs.

This fan is junk the blade came off in the middle of the night. It's made out of plastic.

I bought two of these thinking it was a great deal! NO! One isnt working already had it for one week and the blade won't stay on the fan! I wish I didn't waste my money!!

Holmes box fan in black

I bought this fan 4 months ago. The fan blade has completely stripped and no longer spins. A total product failure. Now I need to pay to recycle it

Failed in less than a month.

The motor still turns, but the blades did not. Took it apart and the blade shaft was disconnected from the blades. It still looks brand new, but the design flaw of poor construction materials does not hold up to daily use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being "old school", I was a little disappointed when first opening the box because the fan was so light weight. So I was a little skeptical and afraid the fan would fall over. But once I installed the feet, it seemed very sturdy...so I was relieved. Then I turned it on and WOW...the fan really moved a LOT of air. It has made all the difference in the world on our second floor by pushing the air around to keep it cooler. We love this fan...

It's so fast!

I was so suprised how fast and nice this fan is considering the price. I've bought my fair share of box fans in the past and none of them have ever been this fast. The highest speed is so insane and fast that I cant imagine I'd ever use it and just keep it on the lowest setting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought an Aqua colored fan of this model and loved it. I ordered a black fan and am quite perplexed because it is MORE than TWICE AS LOUD! I hated it, so I gave it away. Be careful all fans are not equal for this model.
