Perfect for everything!!!

The response time is crisp, and I barely notice the difference from my recent 1 ms monitor. It is the best monitor I have ever owned and I don't know if there is a better one out there

Nice design (probably nicest screen nowadays).
Got used to the curve quickly. First hour you think you're going to screw off your head but after 2 days it's ok and going back to 24" feels like looking through a keyhole.
No black bleeding.
No calibration was needed.
Sharp text (i'm a programmer).
No flickering in movies (linux 3.4, X, DisplayPort). I compared it with Samsung 34" ultrawide and that one had heavy flickering when connected to the same laptop.

The earphones output could be on a side - reaching to the back for un/plug is clumsy.
I didn't figure out how to play sound. There's no standalone audio input?
The silver stand might be nice but as its wide and doesn't hide behind my laptop, it's kind of distracting bright spot in my lower distal view. But that's specific to my setup.

The curved widescreen is unbelievably immersive and the split screen feature enables the productivity of having dual monitors; combined with my laptop screen, I essentially have 3-monitors without all the bulk, cables, etc. I really like the productivity I'm getting, and the immersive experience makes it better than the dual monitors I use at the office.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a lot of investigation I chose the 34UC98-W to display my digital audio workstation (DAW) projects. I am so happy I converted from dual 23" monitors. Whether it's showing me 32 tracks in the mixer or an entire song in the project, the need to scroll back and forth are reduced.
I was concerned the PPI would be too small but it is fine for my 50 year old eyes. The curve is more gentle than I was expecting, but the curve is appreciated for viewing the extreme left and right.
