I bought this TV mostly based on price and thought I did enough research to be able to do lots of streaming. Fortunately, I can use my antennae with it, unlike some of the other Vizio TVs. What I didn't realize though is that even thought it is a Smart tv, it doesn't have a browser and the usb port has limited functionality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. The USB port on this TV has full media sharing capabilities. With it you can watch video, listen to music, or view pictures all through a USB stick.
Just got this and the settting up was quite easy. The pictures are awesome. The features I have used so far has been great. But since I only receive it a few days ago I can't tell too much about it yet.
I bought this TV a couple of weeks ago, and so far, I've been very happy with its performance. The picture is very clear and the colors are vibrant. An excellent value for the money. I paid about half as much for this TV as I did for a 47" Vizio LCD 1080p/240hZ model 8yrs ago.
Very pleased with picture and overall functionality of this TV. Only one issue. I have another Vizio set and I like to have them together for football season and basketball playoffs. But the remotes control both TV's. I wish they could find a solution to get around this.
I had a M50 before and the new version had more than I needed. The D50 has the features I wanted and has performed very well. I like the Black case because it accentuates the picture but essentially disappears when viewing.
