30" Induction Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the Bosch 800 series Induction Cooktop for it's quality and Pot Size Sensing capability, since not all manufactures have this. The unit was easy to install as a replacement to an Electric Cooktop. Works as expected, wonderfully! Once you p/u the appropriate cookware, the unit is very easy to use. I purchased the Circulon Symmetry set and find they perform very well with this unit. The cooktop is easy to clean even messes around the pots as you cook since there isn't any heat given off near the pots...another plus with Induction cooking. Boost is a great function, kicks it up to boiling even faster than on high alone. I am very happy with my Bosch 800 series purchase and would recommend anyone interested in going induction, find a Bosch product to your liking, you won't regret it!!

Love that Bosch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design features of the cook top are beautiful. Bosch outdid themselves. I had no idea how it would look on my island, replacing my old cooktop. I could not be more pleased. I looked at many cooktops before I decided to buy the Bosch and what decided me was the simple elegance of Bosch compared to others, in looks as well as performance.

New and exciting!

We have a propane tank in the ground and really thought we would go that way...but, reading all the info on induction, we decided this was it. We have a Bosch Washer & Dryer (9 years) and love them. We went to appliance stores getting opinions...Thermador, GE, Gen Air (been there done that one) and Bosch. Your experience in this market sold us. Best part, love cooking on it. Sure it is different, however, well worth trying things...Auto Chef, Speed Boost. We are very happy we chose Bosch!

Loving this cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our last cooktop died after only a few years, so we opted to try induction. And went with Bosch, in part because of good experiences with the brand, and in part because they don't outsource their production the way other brands do (we're hoping for much better reliability than our last cooktop).
This cooktop is lovely to look at and easy to use, and the induction is amazingly responsive. We're very happy with our choice, and hope for many years of cooking with it.

Best cooktop!

Boils water super fast, is so easy to use and easy to clean I love the timer that shuts off the burner when done. It only makes a slight noise with the speed boost, but you only use that function for about 3 minutes, so not a problem at all. It looks beautiful, just like a sheet of black glass.

Better than gas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been about a month since install and I love it. It cleans easily with vinegar and water spray. I love the way the induction controls work. It goes from very slow and low (below simmer) to rapid boil (with speed boost). I'm not sure how the Auto Chef actually functions, but it works well to correctly maintain the cooking level. Note that min, low, med on Auto Chef does not correlate with the same setting without using the Auto Chef setting. In other words, Low setting on Auto Chef will be a different setting than Low on the regular (default) mode. Everything heats up quicker and with heat boost It seems actually better than gas cooktops and definitely better than the radiant cook top we had before. The Speed Boost setting dramatically decreases the time to boil water for pasta. At first I thought the layoff was odd, but now I see the genius behind it. One can actually put 4 pots on for cooking. The only criticism I have is that the manual is lacking, not very detailed.

Really Easy to Install
